Obama Administration Refuses To Condemn Rioting Occupiers In Chicago During NATO Summit

Can you imagine their reaction if this had been the Tea Party?
Wendell Goler: The President has voiced support for the Occupy folks in the past, or at least their goals, did their actions in Chicago sour his support?
Jay Carney: Well I think you’re making broad comparisons between .. uh .. uh .. different groups, what the President has said in the past is .. uh .. he has understood .. uh .. the frustrations Americans have about (pause) the (pause) failure in particular of Wall Street in some cases to .. uh .. uh, (pause) well obviously Wall Street’s role in the financial crisis that precipitated the worst recession since the Great Depression.

NATO Troops Cleared of Malicious Intent in Koran Burning

How were they to know the proper way to dispose of a Koran was to throw in in a sewage canal?
(Washington Times) — The Pentagon said Tuesday that a joint NATO-Afghan investigation into the burning of Korans at Bagram Air Field has been completed.
The investigation found that the “disposal process” of the Korans was improper but was not a malicious act intended to show disrespect for Afghans or Islam.
The probe was conducted by the International Security Assistance Force and the Afghan Ministry of Defense.
“It did find that there were some U.S. personnel who did improperly treat these religious texts, including some of their supervisory personnel,” said Navy Capt. John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesman. “And it recommended that they be reviewed for potential disciplinary action.”
The Korans ended up in an incinerator after Afghan prisoners were found using the holy books to pass messages to one another.
Why are Pakistanis throwing away 100s of Korans into sewage filled canal?

Stupid: Incurable cancer patient evicted from Denmark hospital room to treat broken-armed NATO Secretary-General

And the European's medical system is better than ours in what way?
(POLITIKAN)- NATO’s Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen was admitted to Denmark’s national university hospital Rigshospitalet this week for an arm fracture operation, but his admission caused the hospital to relegate an incurable cancer patient from her single-bed ward to an office.

Susanne Larsen, 44, who is suffering from incurable bone marrow cancer and has had to have implants to help her manage a collapsed back, was being treated in a single-bed ward - until NATO’s Secretary-General arrived for treatment for a fractured arm, according to Ekstra Bladet.

Fogh Rasmussen fractured his arm last week after falling off his bicycle during a bicycle ride in Brussels.
To accommodate NATO’s Secretary-General, hospital staff removed Larsen to a windowless office without an emergency alarm. Staff told her that if she needed attention she should bang on a teacup with a spoon.

Pakistan gives CIA 15 days to stop its drone operations

Saturday night allied forces bombed 2 miles inside Pakistan's border and hit Pakistani troops. The details are murky ATM. Tensions were already high with Pakistan because they didn't like our Seal Team killing Osama bin Laden inside their borders. Pakistan has also cut off NATO supply routes into Afghanistan. We should cut off all Pakistan's aid money and start building a closer relationship with India.
(Sydney Morning Herald) — THE Pakistani government has responded to NATO air strikes that killed at least 25 soldiers by ordering the CIA to vacate the drone operations it runs from Shamsi Air Base in northern Pakistan and closing the two main NATO supply routes into Afghanistan.
Pakistani officials said that NATO aircraft hit two military posts at the northwestern border with Afghanistan. The country’s supreme army commander called the attacks unprovoked acts of aggression.
The CIA was given just 15 days to stop its drone operations. Among the two NATO supply routes into Afghanistan shut by the government was the one at Torkham. NATO forces receive about 40 per cent of their supplies through that crossing, which runs through the Khyber Pass. Pakistani officials gave no estimate as to how long the routes would be shut down.
