Obama supporters attack Paul Ryan and his wife on Twitter!

Obama supporters are shameful.

CNN Poll: Ryan won debate by slim margin of 48-44...

Biden made a a$$ of himself with that creepy disrespectful smiling and laughing.

Via CNN:

Forty-eight percent of voters who watched the vice presidential debate think that Rep. Paul Ryan won the showdown, according to a CNN/ORC International nationwide poll conducted right after Thursday night's faceoff. Forty-four percent say that Vice President Joe Biden was victorious. The Republican running mate's four point advantage among a debate audience that was more Republican than the country as a whole is within the survey's sampling error.

Half of all debate watchers questioned in the poll said the showdown didn't make them more likely to vote for either of the candidates' bosses, 28% said the debate made them more likely to vote for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and 21% said the faceoff made them more likely to vote to re-elect President Barack Obama.

Clueless: Obama called Paul Ryan "Jack Ryan" in Woodward interview

It's time to give Obama a drug test...

Via ABC News:
President Obama told author Bob Woodward that he didn't know Rep. Paul Ryan was going to attend at a major speech he delivered last year on spending and debt, and says in retrospect that it was "a mistake" to dress down Ryan and his budget plans to his face in that setting.

In the interview conducted July 11 -- about a month before Ryan was tapped as Mitt Romney's running mate – the president also misstated the first name of the man who is now on the opposing presidential ticket.

"I'll go ahead and say it – I think that I was not aware when I gave that speech that Jack Ryan was going to be sitting right there," the president told Woodward according to audio transcripts of their conversations, provided to ABC News.

Sandra Fluke claims Paul Ryan would “would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms,”

Sandra Fluke couldn't be less credible is she had worn a giant vagina suit during the speechhttp://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/05/sandra-fluke-ryan-would-allow-women-to-die-in-emergency-rooms/.
Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke accused Paul Ryan of supporting a bill that “would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms,” an attack on Ryan’s pro-life views.

Speaking to the Democratic National Convention, Fluke pushed her pro-abortion views saying Mitt Romney and Ryan’s pro-life views would be bad for the country.

“In that America, your new president could be a man who stands by when a public figure tries to silence a private citizen with hateful slurs. Who won’t stand up to the slurs, or to any of the extreme, bigoted voices in his own party,” she claimed. “It would be an America in which you have a new vice president who co-sponsored a bill that would allow pregnant women to die preventable deaths in our emergency rooms.

Good News: Romney-Ryan strike fear in Al Gore

I hope he tinkles his pants.

Via Politico:
Not surprisingly, former Vice President Al Gore thinks a President Mitt Romney and Vice President Paul Ryan will spell doom for the Earth and its environment.

“I would fear for the future of our environmental policy,” Gore said in an interview with TakePart. “Because they’ve made statements that are just completely at odds with the facts, and they seem to be really in lockstep with the large carbon polluters. But just based on their public statements, I would be very concerned about what they’d do.”

Gore didn’t let President Barack Obama off the hook either, saying, “I certainly understand” criticisms against him with regard to environmental policy.

Fail: GQ criticizes Paul Ryan for being a "pot virgin"

Before Bill Clinton smoked pot, but didn't inhale, admitting smoking pot would have likely ended a political career. In the era of Barack Obama's Choom Gang, Paul Ryan is being criticized for not having smoked pot. The implied message to young people is Ryan isn't as cool as Obama. Will GQ next criticize Ryan for having never ate a dog either?

Via GQ:
Paul Ryan, "the first Gen-X candidate," was 19 when the Berlin Wall came down, draft age during the first Gulf War, 21 when Nevermind dropped. All of which makes him a contemporary of many of us who work on and read GQ. Which got us wondering, what kind of a dude is Paul Ryan? Would we want to go to Coachella with this fella? More precisely: has he ever been stoned to the bejeezus belt?

The question of whether or not Ryan has ever smoked pot is not entirely out of left-field. Well over half of Americans between ages 18 and 50 say they've smoked before, and American presidential candidates as far back as Dukakis have had to wrestle with how to handle inquiries about past drug use. We know that Bush the Latter was "young and irresponsible" when he was young and irresponsible. Bill Clinton apparently "didn't inhale" anything but Big Macs and g-strings. Barack Obama, back when he was Barry, was a pot-mooching babe-hound who never met a doobie he didn't bro up to. And despite that rep, Obama won the last presidential election.

So we asked (and asked) the Romney-Ryan campaign for an answer to this famous, legitimate, and increasingly innocuous question. And we received a lot of bouncing around, and finally no answer at all. Apparently, they've decided they have nothing to gain from taking a position on this.

No matter. We can make an educated guess.[...]

In other words, all signs indicate Ryan has never tried pot.* And time was that fact would've helped his campaign.[...]
Being a pot virgin is a lot like being an actual virgin; it feels disconnected somehow.[..] More here...

New poll dashes Obama's hope to use Mediscare as a wedge issue against Romney-Ryan

Seniors seem to prefer Romney-Ryan to Obama on Medicare.

Via Hot Air:
An important addendum to Ed’s CBS/NYT number-crunch from lefty Greg Sargent:
The breakdown sent over by CBS:
* In Florida, 48 percent of seniors say Romney would do a better job on Medicare, versus 44 percent who say that about Obama (the Ryan pick was supposed to be particularly problematic in this state).
* In Ohio, 49 percent of seniors say Romney would do a better job on Medicare, versus 43 percent who say that about Obama.
* In Wisconsin, 49 percent say Obama would do a better job on Medicare, versus 46 percent who say that about Romney. Close.
What’s striking is that the poll also finds very big majorities of seniors in all three states support leaving Medicare as it is, while small minorities support changing it so government provides fixed amounts to spend on insurance.

Maureen Dowd: That Paul Ryan is a Taliban or something

If you need proof liberalism is a form of insanity, look no further...

Just Think No — Maureen Dowd, NYT
. . .Other Republicans are trying to cover up their true identity to get elected. Even as party leaders attempted to lock the crazy uncle in the attic in Missouri, they were doing their own crazy thing down in Tampa, Fla., by reiterating language in their platform calling for a no-exceptions Constitutional amendment outlawing abortion, even in cases of rape, incest and threat to the life of the mother.
Paul Ryan, who teamed up with Akin in the House to sponsor harsh anti-abortion bills, may look young and hip and new generation, with his iPod full of heavy metal jams and his cute kids. But he’s just a fresh face on a Taliban creed — the evermore antediluvian, anti-women, anti-immigrant, anti-gay conservative core. Amiable in khakis and polo shirts, Ryan is the perfect modern leader to rally medieval Republicans who believe that Adam and Eve cavorted with dinosaurs.

PPP Poll: Romney grabs lead in Wisconsin...

Mitt Romney is polling well in Wisconsin since choosing Wisconsin native Paul Ryan as his running mate.

Via The Hill:
Paul Ryan has propelled Mitt Romney into the lead over President Obama in the critical battleground state of Wisconsin, according to the latest survey from liberal-leaning Public Policy Polling.

Romney edges Obama 48 percent to 47, according to the poll, which has a 2.7 percent margin of error.

Rasmussen: 42% of voters think Paul Ryan is qualified to be president, only 40% think Joe Biden is

If Rasmussen had asked who was better qualified to be the butt of late night jokes, Biden would have won hands down.

Via Rasmussen:
Voters are evenly divided as to whether Paul Ryan or Joe Biden is better qualified to serve as president. Not surprisingly, there’s a huge partisan divide on the issue. Forty-two percent (42%) of Likely U.S. Voters say Ryan’s more qualified to be the chief executive, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. But nearly as many (40%) think Biden is a better fit for the job. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Ohio Grandma to Paul Ryan: "Good luck! Kick ass!"

Ohio seniors voiced confidence in Paul Ryan and his determination to save Medicare. On the other hand, Michelle Obama's head may explode when see sees what Ryan had for lunch.

Via The Weekly Standard:
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan stopped by the Original Hot Dog Shoppe here this afternoon to chat with voters and grab some lunch. The Wisconsin congressman and fitness nut chowed down on two hot dogs with onion, extra kraut and mustard, a side of small chili-cheese fries, and an unsweetened iced tea. The total bill came to $8.78, including a chili-cheese dog Ryan purchased for a reporter celebrating his twenty-seventh birthday.

"Hey Paul!" yelled an elderly woman while Ryan was placing his order with the cashier. "Good luck! Kick ass!"

The well-wisher, Erma from Howland, Ohio, told me later that she's not worried that Ryan and Romney would end Medicare. "I don't believe it," she said. "Because Obama has a bigger plan to rob Medicare of $617 billion."[...]

"He's going to save Medicare," chimed in Eleanor's friend Karen Combs from Cortland, Ohio.

Chris Matthews: Putting Ryan on the GOP ticket created "a real Frankenstein’s monster" or something...

Hyperbole...
CHRIS MATTHEWS: This is the last thing the Republican ticket wanted to be talking about. They’ve got a time bomb here that they thought they were just going to talk about the economy and the budget. They’ve created a real Frankenstein’s monster in putting this guy on the ticket with this background, supporting personhood and criminality of abortion.
