Not only is President Obama's Green Jobs Czar, Anthony Van Jones, a radical and a communist, he is also a rude "potty mouth." On February 11, 2009 in Berkley, California, he said, "The answer to that is they're a$$holes," in response to a question about why President Obama wasn't able to move his socialist agenda through Congress fast enough. Spineless Harry Reid Holds "No Questions Allowed" and "Invitation Only" Obamacare Town Hall Rally

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is too spineless to face his constituents at a normal town hall. So, he held a "no questions allowed" rally with invited union members and supporters of Obamacare at UNLV. Other citizens were turned away at the door. Earlier this month, Harry Reid waved a piece of Astroturf and said, "I just want to show you what Astroturf really is." Senator Reid, you have shown the citizens of Nevada you know exactly what "Astroturfing" really means.

Fifty-seven Percent (57%) Now Oppose War in Afghanistan

Fifty-seven Percent (57%) now oppose the war in Afghanistan. The biggest change has come from Democrats. Almost three quarters of Democrats now oppose the war. Perhaps Americans sense a lack of commitment from President Obama. Shadow Government had this to say, "There are few things more toxic for effective civil-military relations in wartime than the military believing that their political commanders are not serious about seeing the conflict through to a successful conclusion."

Fifty-seven percent of Americans questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Tuesday say they oppose the U.S. war in Afghanistan, with 42 percent supporting the military mission. The percentage of those in opposition to the war is up 11 points since April, and is the highest ever in CNN polling since the launch of the U.S. military involvement in Afghanistan soon after the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

The poll indicates that opposition to the war is coming mainly from Democrats and independents.

US Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) Wants to Investigate Cheney for Torture (video)

Some Democrats aren't satisfied with just investigating the CIA for torture. They want to go after former VP Dick Cheney. US Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) says he wants Attorney General Holder to go after "people who may have ordered it, such as the vice president, for example," This statement is at about the 1:40 mark of the Fox News video.

"My criticism of the attorney general is that he should not limit the investigation to people in the field who may have committed torture, but to people who may have ordered it, such as the vice president, for example," Nadler said during an interview on Fox News.

How low can Obama's poll numbers go? Rasmussen: Only 45% approve.

The Rasmussen daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday has President Obama's approval at a new low. Only 45% of likely voters somewhat approve of his job performance.

Rasmussen reported:

Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. That’s down a point from yesterday and the lowest level of total approval yet measured for Obama. Fifty-three percent (53%) now disapprove.

Zogby: Obama loses support among Democrats

The latest Zogby interactive poll has President Obama taking a big hit in support from his key constituents. He has lost 13 points among Democrats in a little over one month. Zogby has Obama's overall approval at only 42%.

Zogby reported:

The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.

Democrats New Plan: Soft Sell the Public Option

After failing to get a vote on health care reform before the August break and taking a beating at town halls across America, Democrats are searching for a new plan to make Obamacare acceptable to the public. One new strategy is to "soft sell" the public option as something that will take place in the distant future.

From Politico:

Clyburn, for his part, is advocating a “two step” approach in which the most widely supported health insurance reforms, like coverage for pre-existing conditions, go into effect immediately, while the public option is framed as a distant step — something that would go into effect in 2013, only after benchmarks and pilot programs are studied.

Clyburn has proposed setting up modest pilot programs for the public option in certain regions or states — an experimental way of seeing whether these health exchanges can actually work at the local level before they go nationwide.

Obama Administration blames Afghanistan troubles on Bush

Don't you dislike people who won't accept responsibility for anything? We now have an administration like that. Obama can't easily apply the resources to win in Afghanistan because of his leftist political base. So, his spokesman blames former President Bush.

The White House sought on Monday to pin the blame for the grave state of the war in Afghanistan on the Bush administration, which made Iraq its top military priority.

"This was underresourced, underfunded, undermanned and ignored for years," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

"The president is focused on ensuring that we meet measurable benchmarks. ... It's going to take some doing."
