Feel Good Story: al Qaeda intelligence chief droned in Pakistan...

Let's hope this report is accurate...

Via LWJ:
Abu Ubaydah Abdullah al Adam, a senior al Qaeda leader who serves as the intelligence chief for the terror group, is reported to have been killed in a recent US drone strike in Pakistan’s tribal areas. The report is unconfirmed, and al Qaeda has not issued an official statement regarding al Adam.
Two jihadists, identified as Al Wathiq Billah and Barod, posted on Twitter on April 20 that al Adam was killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan, according to the SITE Intelligence Group, which obtained the tweets. Barod “indicated he was killed that day,” according to SITE.
No drone strikes were reported in Pakistan on April 20, but an attack was reported on April 17 in South Waziristan. The last US drone strike reported in North Waziristan took place on April 14 in the Datta Khel area, which is a known haven for al Qaeda’s top leaders. Several senior al Qaeda leaders and military commanders have been killed in drone strikes in the Datta Khel area.
The two jihadists’ claims that al Adam was killed in a drone strike are not official confirmation that he is indeed dead. Al Qaeda has not released an official martyrdom statement announcing his death.

Bill Clinton's CIA turned down opportunity to kill Osama bin Laden in 1999

 Hmm...

From McClatchy:
In late 1999, two years before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people, a group of Afghan agents loyal to an anti-Taliban guerrilla leader proposed assassinating Osama bin Laden. All they wanted was the $5 million reward the Clinton administration had offered for bin Laden’s capture, says a former Polish spy who was the Afghans’ go-between on the plot.
The CIA rejected the plan, however, saying, “We do not have a license to kill.”
“They gave us the exact location of the houses where bin Laden would be staying in Kandahar, the route he would be taking between his living quarters, his meeting place, and what kind of transportation he would be using,” Makowski told McClatchy in a recent interview, referring to the city in southern Afghanistan that was the Taliban’s seat of power. The Afghans planned to use car bombs to kill the Saudi-born leader of al Qaida.

Obama may be the first Nobel Peace Prize winner to keep a secret 'kill list' in his office

President Obama personally oversees a secret suspected terrorist kill list. He is the judge and jury. The execution is carried out by drones. Can you imagine the liberal outrage if George W. Bush had done this?

AFP via Yahoo:
US President Barack Obama has personally overseen a top-secret process for determining which Al-Qaeda suspects should be placed on a "kill list," the New York Times reported Tuesday.

The Times, citing dozens of top officials and former advisers, said the administration had developed what it termed the "kill list" as part of a stepped-up drone war against Al-Qaeda and its affiliates in Pakistan and Yemen.

"He is determined that he will make these decisions about how far and wide these operations will go," it quoted National Security Adviser Thomas Donilon as saying.

"His view is that he's responsible for the position of the United States in the world... He's determined to keep the tether pretty short."

Obamabot pleads guilty to threatening to kill Sheriff Joe Arpaio

This is what happens when you start delving into Obama's hidden records. The guy who got Obama's passport records was found shot to death in a car in Washington, D,C. The crime has never been solved.
PHOENIX — A man described as a President Barack Obama fanatic pleads guilty to threatening to kill Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Adam Eugene Cox appeared in a Tennessee courtroom on Wednesday.
He was arrested last year for a death threat that began on the Internet.
Cox threatened to kill the sheriff and his family.
Cox will not go to jail. He was sentenced to supervised probation.

Obvious: Osama Bin Laden Didn't Think VP Joe Biden Was Worth Killing

VP Joe Biden should be insulted. However, I am glad al Qaeda doesn't want to kill him. I would really miss the gaffes.
(Telegraph)US officials have revealed that Osama bin Laden’s diaries contain the rather startling conclusion that he didn’t think Vice President Joe Biden was worth bumping off (hat tip: a tweet from my New York colleague Jon Swaine).

According to ProPublica, the Obama administration is briefing that Barack Obama was bin Laden’s the “top target” (no surprise there) while “military chiefs like the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the defense secretary” were also major scalps.

But Joe Biden’s scalp (hair plugs and all)? Apparently, not so much. A counterterrorism official said: “There is a note indicating that the vice president is not an important target because that position has less weight.”

Liberal Heartache: Obama Not Getting Credit for Killing Osama Bin Laden

Only 35% give Obama a lot of credit. 89% give most of the credit to the military.
(CNS News)- In the USA Today/Gallup poll, conducted on May 2, the day after Osama’s death was announced, Americans were asked, “How much credit do you give each of the following for the actions that led to the U.S. finding and killing Osama bin Laden?”

For those surveyed, 89 percent gave a “great deal” of credit for finding and killing Osama bin Laden to the U.S. military, and 62 percent gave a great deal of credit to the CIA.

Only 35 percent of Americans gave a great deal of credit to President Obama while 22 percent said former President George W. Bush merited a great deal of credit.

President Obama: Waterboarding Terrorists is cruel. Let's kill them instead.

President Obama hasn't spoken those exact words, but his actions speak louder than anything he could say.
The little-known case highlights a sharp difference between President Obama's counter-terrorism policy and that of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Under Obama, the CIA has killed more people than it has captured, mainly through drone missile strikes in Pakistan's tribal areas. At the same time, it has stopped trying to detain or interrogate suspects caught abroad, except those captured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"The CIA is out of the detention and interrogation business," said a U.S. official who is familiar with intelligence operations but was not authorized to speak publicly...

Widespread criticism of Bush administration interrogation and detention policies as brutal and degrading led Obama to stop sending suspected terrorists to the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Public exposure also forced the CIA to close a network of secret prisons...
I am starting to warm up to this plan...
