Glenn Beck had a great response to that ludicrous statement by Van Jones. Beck responded, "Will Progressive Pigs Fly Out of Van Jones' Butt and Pedal Bicycles to Power America?" Here is a video from the Glenn Beck show that includes these statements and much more.

Will Diane Sawyer bring fairness and balance to ABC Evening News?
No. She has outed herself as a liberal too many times to count.

From Media Research Center:
At ABC, Sawyer has repeatedly lauded high-profile liberals, including Nancy Pelosi (“galvanized steel with a smile”) and Hillary Clinton (“political mastery,” “dazzling”). She even admitted to co-host Charlie Gibson that she dreamed about Bill Clinton one night after then eating a pepperoni pizza. Sawyer targeted Ken Starr, telling the independent counsel that his report on Bill Clinton’s affair was being criticized as “demented pornography, pornography for Puritans.” She derided the Bush administration’s “massive tax cuts,” championed campaign finance “reform,” and even asked then-candidate Barack Obama to judge whether America is “more racist or more sexist.”

Clueless Dick Durbin doesn't know mandates are in H.R.3200 (video)
At a televised health care town hall, a constituent asks Senator Dick Durbin if the constitution allows the government to mandate Americans buy health insurance. Durbin claims ignorance of what is in H.R.3200 and refuses to say he will oppose mandates in the Senate version. It is unbelievable that Durbin is that ignorant of the house bill. Senator Durbin is either disingenuous or too lazy to do his job. Read the bill Senator. If that is too much trouble, turn on FOX News or do a Google search. When pressed on the mandate question, Durbin said, "I'd like to see how it's written." This statement indicates Durbin is OK with mandates if the language suits him. Interestingly, the questioner has a great defense against the comparison of mandatory car insurance to mandatory health insurance. The video gets interesting at the 2:30 mark.

PRINCETON, NJ -- In August, an average of 45% of Americans identified as Democrats or leaned to the Democratic Party, while 40% identified as Republicans or leaned to the Republican Party. This 5-point advantage represents a decided narrowing of the gap between the parties from the 17-point Democratic advantage in January.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA): Give All Americans Same Health Care As Congress (Video)
Rep. Darrell Issa has a one page health care bill Americans might like. He wants to provide every American access to the same health care plan Congress has. They would have a choice of over 300 Private Health Care Providers at affordable rates, without respect to pre-existing conditions. Nice. Why won't President Obama and Democrats get behind this bill?
Rep. Issa talks about his bill at the 3:45 mark.

Rep. Issa: "I have a simple bill. It is only one page that simply says, every American can have the same health care that Congress has without preexisting conditions, without any problem changing plans. It's one page to give every American a choice of over 300 private plans that are all affordable.
Obama Planning to Slash Health Care Funding for Elderly in 2010 by $1.4 billion

Team Obama is planning to throw elderly heart and cancer patients under the bus in 2010 to save money. They are planning $1.4 billion in medicare cuts to cardiologists and oncologists. A cut this large could seriously reduce the amount of care elderly heart and cancer patients receive. If Obamacare passes, this is only the beginning.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) Plays Kennedy Card at Town Hall and Gets Booed (video)
Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) tried using the Teddy Kennedy defense of Obamacare at her Town Hall and got booed. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.)said of Teddy Kennedy's death, "I think it's going to help us." Senator Reid and other Democrats who are avoiding having real Town Halls with their constituents are out of touch with mainstream America.

Obama Plans to Drop Public Option

After watching his poll numbers plummet to new lows, President Obama appears to be ready to throw the "public option" government run health care plan under the bus. Politico is reporting Obama is going to get more involved in health care reform after the August break. He is going to specify what he want in a bill, but he will not insist on a "public option" plan. This change of course may help Obama get some kind of "face saving" health care legislation to a vote, but his already fading popularity with Democrats may take a hit.
Politico reported:
...And although House leaders have said their members will demand the inclusion of a public insurance option, Obama has no plans to insist on it himself, the officials said....
Top officials privately concede the past six weeks have taken their toll on Obama's popularity.
