Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid plans to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Joe Manchin in the next week to discuss the possibility of reviving the Senate’s dormant gun legislation.
Reid told reporters Tuesday afternoon that he had spoken with Biden on Monday and the two will meet in person next week. Reid also spoke with Manchin (D-W.Va.), a key architect of a failed background check amendment along with Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.).
The Nevada Democrat didn’t tip his hand as to whether the Senate will try to pursue another gun bill after the efforts collapsed in April and Democratic leadership shelved the bill.
