Donald Trump dominated once again Tuesday night, scoring what Fox News projects to be a convincing victory in the Nevada Republican Caucus — a third straight win that builds upon his momentum heading into Super Tuesday and delivers a sharp warning to his rivals and the party establishment that time may be running out to slow his march to the nomination.
The battle was still under way for second place. Incoming returns show Florida Sen. Marco Rubio holding an edge over Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, but it was too early to call.
With 45 percent of precincts reporting, Trump led with 44percent, followed by Cruz at 23 percent and Rubio at 22 percent.

How do Bunkerville residents feel about BLM, Cliven Bundy and Militias?

An emotional crowd gathered for a town hall meeting on Thursday evening in Bunkerville.

Residents and council members praised militia members gathered there in support of embattled rancher Cliven Bundy, but had nothing but vitriol for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie and the local and national media.

“The day the militia [came] was the day I felt safe again in Nevada,” one meeting attendee said.

The meeting was standing-room only. City council members had harsh criticism for the media’s take on the standoff between Bundy and the BLM.

“I heard things said down there. And then when it came out on the air it was a completely different animal,” Bunkerville Councilman Duane Magoon said.

“Tell the whole truth. Don’t spin things to get your ratings,” another council member added.

One council member criticized Gillespie, saying he’s been AWOL in Bunkerville.

“I’m really disappointed in our sheriff for not being out here to protect the citizens who are out here,” he said.

One after another, Bunkerville residents criticized the BLM, calling it an example of overreaching government.

“It’s insane and a way overreach of their power. They should be held accountable,” a meeting attendee said.

A tortoise isn’t the reason why BLM is harassing a 67 year-old rancher. They want his land. The tortoise wasn’t of concern when Harry Reid worked BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise’s habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore. Whittemore was convicted of illegal campaign contributions to Senator Reid. Reid’s former senior adviser is now the head of BLM. Reid is accused of using the new BLM chief as a puppet to control Nevada land (already over 84% of which is owned by the federal government) and pay back special interests. BLM has proven that they’ve a situational concern for the desert tortoise as they’ve had no problem waiving their rules concerning wind or solar power development. Clearly these developments have vastly affected a tortoise habitat more than a century-old, quasi-homesteading grazing area. If only Clive Bundy were a big Reid donor. 

 The tortoises the government claim they are trying to save are so plentiful, they have been killing some. 

The The BLM says they’re moving in, not to encroach on the man’s property rights, but because Bundy didn’t pay “grazing fees,” which the Bureau has imposed on land developers “who disturb tortoise habitat on public land,” according to the Associated Press.Throughout the housing boom in the 2000s, the Bureau was earning enough to fund the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center (DTCC) in southern Las Vegas, a habitat “created in 1991 to house wild desert tortoises removed from the path of development and to use those tortoises to aid recovery of the species.” Its operating budget was about $1 million per year.
But the recession that followed dwindled the number of developers, and in turn funds for the DTCC.
So, facing the prospect of shutting their doors, the DTCC began releasing healthier turtles into the wild, and euthanizing some of the sick ones.

Back at the conservation center, a large refrigerator labeled “carcass freezer” hummed in the desert sun as scientists examined the facility’s 1,400 inhabitants to find those hearty enough to release into the wild. Officials expect to euthanize more than half the animals in the coming months in preparation for closure at the end of 2014.

I hope the voters of Nevada come to understand elections have consequences. They could have easily defeated Reid in 2010. Without Reid at the helm in the Senate, we might have gotten true bipartisan healthcare reform.

Obama's lead drops to two points in Nevada

Obama is suffering a serious polling slide. It started in the mid-west, but may be spreading nationally now.

President Obama is holding to a narrow two-point lead in Nevada, although Mitt Romney has seen his prospects improve after naming Paul Ryan as his running mate, according to a poll released Wednesday.

The survey by the Las Vegas Review Journal showed President Obama and Vice President Biden edging the Romney-Ryan ticket 47 to 45 percent. That's the closest Romney has been to the president since an NBC News poll in May.

So he might have felt the occasion was a little beneath him yesterday when he stopped off in Reno, Nevada, to deliver an address outside a couple’s garage.

In what could be a disastrous photo opportunity for the President’s campaign, Mr Obama spoke to a handful of people in the crucial swing state.

The president’s 15 minute address outside the home of Paul and Val Keller on Friday afternoon, drew a small audience of neighbours and supporters — though even his hosts said they were not sure if they would vote for him in the coming election.

Despite this benefit, and a one-on-one meeting with the president in the couple’s kitchen, the couple reported themselves still divided on who they expect to vote for come November.

‘I like him, but I’ve always liked him,’ Mr Keller, a 67-year-old retired electrical contractor told a reporter with the Wall Street Journal.

Expected: Romney Wins Nevada

Mitt Romney won Nevada's Republican presidential caucuses on Saturday.

Las Vegas (CNN) -- Declaring victory in Nevada's Republican presidential caucuses on Saturday, Mitt Romney again turned away from his GOP rivals and toward President Barack Obama.

CNN projected that Mitt Romney will win the Nevada Republican presidential caucuses based on results and entrance polling.

With 43% of the vote in, Romney held about 43% of the vote while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had 25% and Rep. Ron Paul had 19%. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who had largely bypassed the state, had 12% of the vote. Those numbers were gathered from vote counters at caucus sites across the state and the state's Republican Party.

Romney thanked supporters at his campaign headquarters in Las Vegas, telling them that, "This isn't the first time you gave me your vote of confidence, but this time I'm going to take it to the White House," alluding to his win in Nevada in 2008.

Harry Reid's Home State Secures Obamacare Waiver

Liberals like to make oppressive nanny state laws, but they don't think they have to live by them.

(Las Vegas Sun) — Nevada got a partial waiver from the health care law — a significant development that Democrats are dismissing as par for the course and Republicans are claiming as a political victory.

The Health and Human Services Department announced late Friday that Nevada had secured a statewide waiver from certain implementation requirements of the Obama administration’s health care law, because forcing them through, the department found, “may lead to the destabilization of the individual market.”

The announcement makes Nevada one of only three states to have compliance requirements under the health care bill waived.

Yeasterday, we found out 20% of all new Obamacare waivers were issued in Nancy Pelosi's district.

Voting Machines Serviced by SEIU Automatically Check Harry Reid's Name in Nevada?

These reports of Harry Reid's name already being checked on electronic voting machines touch screen has been dismissed by election officials in Nevada as operator error. If that is true, how come they haven't been equal complaints of Sharron Angle's name already being checked? Did you know the SEIU represents voting machine techs in Nevada's Clark County where this possible fraud was reported?

It is positively outrageous that in Clark County, Nevada, the SEIU Local 1107, which supports Harry Reid, controls the ballot boxes by contract through their representation of the voting machine technicians. It is not surprising that Senator Harry Reid’s name was automatically checked off on the ballot when individuals went to vote.

Some voters in Boulder City complained on Monday that their ballot had been cast before they went to the polls, raising questions about Clark County’s electronic voting machines.

Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.

Ferrara said she wasn’t alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen…

Bad News for Harry Reid

Early voting in Nevada's shows heavy turnout by Republicans. Reid is one of the most despised Democrats in the counrty and faces a Tsunami of Republican enthusiasm.

Some 47 percent of early voters in Reno’s bellwether Washoe County so far have been Republicans, while 40 percent have been Democrats, according to the Washoe County Registrar. Nearly 11,000 people had voted in Washoe over the first three days of early voting, which began Saturday.

Voter registration in the county is evenly split, 39 percent to 39 percent. The disproportionate turnout is a concrete indication of the Republican enthusiasm that is expected to portend a nationwide GOP wave.

Rasmussen: Angle Leads Reid by Four in Nevada Senate Race

Sharron Angle is now at 50% among Likely Voters in the latest Rasmussen survey. Harry Reid is trailing with 46% of the vote. Angle's numbers are starting to shape up as we move closer to November 2nd. A CNN/Time poll taken around the same time period, and released Wednesday, found Angle up by 2%.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Nevada Voters shows Angle hitting the 50% mark for the first time since mid-August, while Reid earns 46% of the vote. CNN Poll Finds Angle Up By Two in a Nail-Biter

Harry Reid's support is down to 40%. When it gets close to the election and the incumbent can't get over 50%, they are usually toast. Let's hope this is true for Harry Reid.

According to a CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Wednesday, 42 percent of likely voters in Nevada are backing Angle, who enjoys strong support from many in the Tea Party movement, with four in ten supporting Reid, the top Democrat in the Senate who’s bidding for a fifth term in the chamber. Seven percent of people questioned are supporting Scott Ashjian, who is running as a Tea Party candidate, but who is shunned by many in the grassroots conservative moment, and 10 percent say they are voting for none of the candidates listed…

Presumably, Harry Reid is trying to avoid the media and protesters. This is a sad day for incumbent Senator and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid when the second most powerful Democrat in the nation feels the need to sneak into town for a meeting. He should have tried voting with his constituents in Nevada instead of President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.

Harry Reid To Nevada Voters: "no one can do more"

Harry Reid is trying to convince Nevada voters they are lucky to have him. His new campaign theme is "no one can do more." Unfortunately for Harry, the things he has been doing more of aren't what the people of Nevada want. Sixty-two (62%) percent of Nevadans oppose the President's and Harry Reid's attempt to takeover reform our nation's health care system. Only 23% have a favorable opinion of Harry Reid. He even failed to deliver a decent share of the Democrat's bloated stimulus to Nevada. Nevada will receive less per capita than any other state except one.

Harry Reid's Home State Joins Lawsuit Against Obamacare

Nevada’s state Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has refused to join the lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare. Of course, she is a Democrat. Gov. Jim Gibbons (R) has done an end run around Masto by issuing an executive order authorizing a private Las Vegas attorney to join the suit on Nevada’s behalf. Take that Harry Reid.
