The head of the UN climate change panel (IPCC), Rajendra Pachauri, has resigned amid sexual harassment allegations.

In a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Mr Pachauri said he was unable to provide strong leadership.
Indian police are investigating a complaint from a 29-year-old woman working in his office in Delhi.
Lawyers for the woman say the harassment included unwanted emails as well as text and phone messages. Mr Pachauri has denied the allegations.
Mr Pachauri, who had chaired the IPCC since 2002 and whose second term was due to end in October this year, denies any wrongdoing and says his email account and mobile phone were hacked.

The "Warmists" are in serious trouble. Their models are wrong and their leaders are douchebags.

A top US academic has dramatically revealed how government officials forced him to change a hugely influential scientific report on climate change to suit their own interests.

Harvard professor Robert Stavins electrified the worldwide debate on climate change on Friday by sensationally publishing a letter online in which he spelled out the astonishing interference.

He said the officials, representing ‘all the main countries and regions of the world’ insisted on the changes in a late-night meeting at a Berlin conference centre two weeks ago.

Three quarters of the original version of the document ended up being deleted.

Prof Stavins claimed the intervention amounted to a serious ‘conflict of interest’ between scientists and governments. His revelation is significant because it is rare for climate change experts to publicly question the process behind the compilation of reports on the subject.

Prof Stavins, Harvard’s Professor of Business and Government, was one of two ‘co-ordinating lead authors’ of a key report published by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) earlier this month.

His chapter of the 2,000-page original report concerned ways countries can co-operate to reduce carbon emissions.

IPCC reports are supposed to be scrupulously independent as they give scientific advice to governments around the world to help them shape energy policies – which in turn affect subsidies and domestic power bills.

Prof Stavins said the government officials in Berlin fought to make big changes to the full report’s ‘summary for policymakers’. This is the condensed version usually cited by the world’s media and politicians. He said their goal was to protect their ‘negotiating stances’ at forthcoming talks over a new greenhouse gas reduction treaty.

Scary: UN IPCC panel wants to cut economic growth to slow climate change...

A United Nations science panel issued a sobering wake-up call to world policymakers Sunday, warning that countries must make dramatic changes in their energy consumption, their use of technology and even their ways of life to avert the catastrophic effects of climate change.

The only options that stand a chance of heading off the worst of the harm would require cutting at least slightly into economic growth in the coming decades, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said. Nations may even have to make ambitious attempts to remove carbon pollution from the atmosphere — not just limit how much comes out of smokestacks and tailpipes.

The highly anticipated report’s 37-page summary for policymakers doesn’t offer a precise dollar figure of how much all this will cost. But it warns that half-measures won’t cut it, and time is running out.

The UN's IPCC released their AR15 summary report today. If you noticed, you are one of the few. Here is my favorite  comment to date on the story from Tom Nelson.

Climate skeptics have seized on the fact that the rate of warming over the past decade or so has been less than climate scientists predicted given the continued increase in carbon emissions. The IPCC report address the warming “hiatus,” as it’s been called, raising a number of possible explanations—the ocean absorbing the warmth, changes in the solar cycle, volcanic eruptions that cause cooling—without pointing the finger at a single one. Which just underscores how complex the climate system remains, even as we keep experimenting on it. The scientists will keep working on those questions and others…

Unsettling: Politicians in Belgium, Germany, Hungary the USA tried to change IPCC report to cover-up lack of recent warming...

Basically, CO2 global warming is based on models that have been falsified by the lack of warming for the last 15 years while CO2 continues to climb dramatically. While there is certainly evidence the planet has warmed in the last century, there is no evidence man had a major impact on this warming. This undermines politicians plans to appropriate trillions of the world's dollars to pursue their green social political agendas.

Scientists working on the most authoritative study on climate change were urged to cover up the fact that the world’s temperature hasn’t risen for the last 15 years, it is claimed.
A leaked copy of a United Nations report, compiled by hundreds of scientists, shows politicians in Belgium, Germany, Hungary and the United States raised concerns about the final draft.
Published next week, it is expected to address the fact that 1998 was the hottest year on record and world temperatures have not yet exceeded it, which scientists have so far struggled to explain.
The report is the result of six years’ work by UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is seen as the world authority on the extent of climate change and what is causing it – on which governments including Britain’s base their green policies.
But leaked documents seen by the Associated Press, yesterday revealed deep concerns among politicians about a lack of global warming over the past few years.
Germany called for the references to the slowdown in warming to be deleted, saying looking at a time span of just 10 or 15 years was ‘misleading’ and they should focus on decades or centuries.
Hungary worried the report would provide ammunition for deniers of man-made climate change.
Belgium objected to using 1998 as a starting year for statistics, as it was exceptionally warm and makes the graph look flat – and suggested using 1999 or 2000 instead to give a more upward-pointing curve.
The United States delegation even weighed in, urging the authors of the report to explain away the lack of warming using the ‘leading hypothesis’ among scientists that the lower warming is down to more heat being absorbed by the ocean – which has got hotter.

Well, this is awkward. A leaked report by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that the world is not warming but is actually cooling, and will continue to get colder until the middle of the century.
You remember the IPCC, right? It’s the group whose 2007 report on global warming said that snow would disappear from everywhere but the highest mountains, icebergs would melt causing sea levels to rise, deserts would spread, people would die in heat waves and pretty much the earth was going to end if we didn’t immediately destroy our carbon-fueled economy with job-killing government regulations.
Well, that’s not happening. In fact, the Arctic ice caps have grown by 60 percent since 2012.

Breaking the Hockey Stick

The infamous Hockey Stick Graph (above) started the whole cycle of global warming alarm-ism. Many skeptics claimed the graph wrongly used statistical techniques to 'smooth' out the well known Medieval Warm Period. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Hockey Stick supporters claimed the Medieval Warm Period was limited to Europe and the Northern Hemisphere. They denied it was really global warming. At the time, the Earth only had a quarter of a billion human inhabitants and man-made CO2 was minimal. Well, a new proxy proves they are wrong. Antarctica warmed too during the Medieval Warm Period.

(Daily Mail) — Current theories of the causes and impact of global warming have been thrown into question by a new study which shows that during medieval times the whole of the planet heated up.

It then cooled down naturally and there was even a ‘mini ice age’.

A team of scientists led by geochemist Zunli Lu from Syracuse University in New York state, has found that contrary to the ‘consensus’, the ‘Medieval Warm Period’ approximately 500 to 1,000 years ago wasn’t just confined to Europe.

In fact, it extended all the way down to Antarctica — which means that the Earth has already experience global warming without the aid of human CO2 emissions.

At present the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) argues that the Medieval Warm Period was confined to Europe — therefore that the warming we’re experiencing now is a man-made phenomenon.

However, Professor Lu has shown that this isn’t true — and the evidence lies with a rare mineral called ikaite, which forms in cold waters.

‘Ikaite is an icy version of limestone,’ said Lu. ‘The crystals are only stable under cold conditions and actually melt at room temperature.’

It turns out the water that holds the crystal structure together — called the hydration water — traps information about temperatures present when the crystals formed.

This finding by Lu’s research team establishes, for the first time, ikaite as a reliable way to study past climate conditions.

But...but...the Climate Change 2007 IPCC report claimed they were retreating and would be gone by 2035.

(Telegraph) — Himalayan glaciers are actually advancing rather than retreating, claims the first major study since a controversial UN report said they would be melted within quarter of a century.

Researchers have discovered that contrary to popular belief half of the ice flows in the Karakoram range of the mountains are actually growing rather than shrinking.

The discovery adds a new twist to the row over whether global warming is causing the world’s highest mountain range to lose its ice cover.

It further challenges claims made in a 2007 report by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that the glaciers would be gone by 2035.

IPCC Urges Climate Scientists to Avoid Those Embarrassing Questions About Why Global Warming Has Stopped

What do you do when you are a global warming proponent and the Earth stopped warming in 2002? The IPCC recommends their researchers should avoid the media. Let us hope Al Gore takes this advice.

Oh My! UN Climate Panel to be Probed!

The UN has decided to put together a panel of top scientists from around the world to review the IPCC's research and management practices. This will undoubtedly be a whitewash because the UN still claims man-made global warming is indisputable. I guess they are just trying to avoid all those obvious errors that skeptics are using as ammunition.

A group of top scientists from around the world will review the research and management practices of the United Nations climate change panel so that it can try to avoid the kinds of errors that have brought its work into question in recent months, officials said Wednesday....

The panel has come under sharp attack after revelations of several mistakes in its most recent report, published in 2007, including a poorly sourced and exaggerated account of how quickly the Himalayan glaciers are melting.

IPCC Admits Another Scam Flaw in Their Report

After previously retracting clais about melting Himalayan glaciers and disappearing Amazon rain forests, the IPCC is now retracting the claim global warming has caused most of the Netherlands to be under sea level.

OSLO (Reuters) - The U.N. panel of climate experts overstated how much of the Netherlands is below sea level, according to a preliminary report on Saturday, admitting yet another flaw after a row last month over Himalayan glacier melt.

Repeated Errors in 2007 UN IPCC Report Causing Real Global Warming Meltdown

We thought Climategate might bring down the bogus anthropogenic global warming movement. The email scandal has certainly done some damage, but the mainstream media has been playing the emails down. The recent evidence that many of the claims included in the UN IPCC 2007 report (Netherlands underwater, Himalayan glaciers melting, Amazon rain-forest disappearing) were based on bad science. This may be the straw that broke the anthropogenic global warming movement's back. Some analysts are already pronouncing the global warming movement dead.

“The global warming movement as we have known it is dead,” the brilliant analyst Walter Russell Mead says in his blog on The American Interest. It was done in by a combination of bad science and bad politics.

India Smacks Down the IPCC

India has decided to create it's own climate change panel because they can't trust the UN's IPCC even though it's run by their own scientist Dr R.K Pachauri.

The Indian government has established its own body to monitor the effects of global warming because it "cannot rely" on the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the group headed by its own leading scientist Dr R.K Pachauri.

IPCC Forced to Retract Another Bogus Claim

This time it is the claim global warming might wipe out 40% of the Amazon rain forest. The IPCC included this unscientific claim in their 2007 report. The basis for this bogus claim came from two WWF environmental activists. They got their information from a Nature article that is unrelated to global warming. The article was about logging and burning destroying rain Forrest.

Chairman of IPCC Used Bogus Himalayan Glacier Melting Scam in Fund-raising

Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), used bogus claims about Himalayan glaciers melting to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds. Pachauri is alleged to be a glacier expert and should have easily known the claims were false. Some people are wondering if his actions were criminal.

It has been revealed this claim was based on "speculation" by a little known scientist and was not supported by any formal research. The IPCC has no credibility.
