Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell believes GOPe will crush Tea Party...

I hope McConnell is wrong. My vote is going to Matt Bevin.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) believes that incumbent Republicans won’t have a problem holding their seats in the 2014 elections.
“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” McConnell said about Tea Party challengers in a New York Times interview published Saturday. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”
McConnell faces a primary challenge from the right. The Senate Conservatives Fund, which backs Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin, believes the candidate has a chance of defeating McConnell the the primary.
“Mitch McConnell is clearly in trouble in this primary or he wouldn’t be attacking Matt Bevin and declaring war on conservatives,” Matt Hoskins, the head of the SCF, told the New York Times.

For almost three years, the story in the House has been about Speaker John Boehner’s restive right flank causing him problems. But Republican moderates have apparently had enough.
In what is by far their boldest stand since the GOP took control of the House in 2010, a group of them are threatening to bring down a vote on the rule for the government funding bill scheduled for 6:30pm.
New York Representative Peter King is leading the charge, and his fellow New Yorker Michael Grimm is close behind him. The group told leadership on Saturday they have twenty five members who are willing to bring down the rule.
That number of defections would defeat the rule, which, like all such votes, is a party line affair. But “how many of them are going to follow up today with the pressure and everything else, I don’t know,” King told me in a phone interview.
King wants to pass a clean continuing resolution bill. “This is going nowhere,” he says about the standoff with Senate Democrats.

Only 31 percent of South Carolina’s Republicans plan to vote to re-elect .S. Sen. Lindsey Graham

RINO hunting season is officially open in South Carolina.

A new Clemson University poll shows U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is having trouble with his Republican base here at home.
Clemson political science professor Dave Woodard conducted the poll last week and found only 31 percent of South Carolina’s Republicans plan to vote to re-elect Graham, regardless of who else was in the race.
“This is the lowest ‘re-elect regardless’ figure I have seen for any incumbent in 20-odd years of polling except for one other lower figure,” he said, adding that timing might have played a role.
The poll was taken one week after Graham and U.S. Sen. John McCain strongly supported a United States missile attack in Syria — a decision that 84 percent of the GOP base disagreed with, Woodard said.
Graham’s popularity was not as strong as South Carolina’s two other high-profile Republicans up for re-election next year: U.S. Tim Scott and Gov. Nikki Haley.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) signaled Tuesday that the dramatic boost in border-security in the Senate’s comprehensive immigration bill could be one of the provisions that may be changed in a potential House-Senate compromise.

During an immigration forum hosted by the AFL-CIO Tuesday, McCain – a key Senate Gang of Eight negotiator – said while a pathway to citizenship for the nation’s undocumented immigrants is a “fundamental element” of the bill, the “rest of it could be adjusted.” He singled out the border security parts as an example.

“We don’t need 20,000 additional border patrol agents,” McCain said Tuesday. “But what we do need is use of technology that has been developed where we can survey the border more effectively.”

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Sunday that he is willing to consider supporting new tax revenue as part of a plan to avert $85 billion in looming budget cuts, as the White House pushed back against Republican lawmakers who say President Obama is solely responsible for the spending reductions.

McCain made the comments as he once again warned about the adverse effects of the spending reductions, known as sequestration, that will require federal agencies to slash $85 billion in spending by Sept. 30 — including $43 billion at the Pentagon.

Sad: Ann Coulter Outs Herself as a Full Sith RINO

Ann Coulter is now supporting Romneycare as a massive triumph for conservative free-market principles.

It's not as if we had a beautifully functioning free market in health care until Gov. Mitt Romney came along and wrecked it by requiring that Massachusetts residents purchase their own health insurance. In 2007, when Romneycare became law, the federal government alone was already picking up the tab for 45.4 percent of all health care expenditures in the country.

Until Obamacare, mandatory private health insurance was considered the free-market alternative to the Democrats' piecemeal socialization of the entire medical industry.

In November 2004, for example, libertarian Ronald Bailey praised mandated private health insurance in Reason magazine, saying that it "could preserve and extend the advantages of a free market with a minimal amount of coercion." Read more here is you can stand it...

Senator John McCain has shown his true form.  He was confronted by a Tea party member at a Town Hall and offered the opportunity to apologize for calling Tea Party members "Hobbits." McCain refused.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Monday refused to apologize for calling Tea Party lawmakers “hobbits” in a speech last month.

“I am sorry if it was misunderstood. I am not sorry for what I said,” McCain said at a town hall meeting in Gilbert, Ariz.

“I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that,” he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.

“It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”

The former Massachusetts governor fielded questions on topics ranging from the debt ceiling to abortion on his first full day of campaigning for 2012 Republican primary nomination.

(Politico)- Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich apologized in a telephone call to House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Tuesday afternoon for his remarks on “Meet the Press,” where the presidential candidate referred to Ryan’s Medicare proposal as “radical change.”

“Newt apologized,” said Rick Tyler, his press secretary and longtime aide. “The call went very well.”

Gingrich, his nascent campaign in jeopardy, has shifted into fervent damage control following a furious conservative reaction to his comments — and is even expressing a rare bit of contrition.

Thank Mitt Romney for Gay Marriage

Everyone now knows Mitt Romney signed RomneyCare, the precursor to ObamaCare,  into law as Massachusetts Governor. Do you know he was responsible for Massachusetts becoming the first state that allowed gay marriage?

While the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court declared that Massachusetts’ marriage law was unconstitutional in the summer of 2003, the Court explicitly declared that the original law, which does not authorize same-sex marriage, was left intact. “Here, no one argues that striking down the marriage laws is an appropriate form of relief.”

The court acknowledged that the original law, left intact by its ruling, banned homosexual marriages and gave the legislature 180 days to “take such action as it may deem appropriate.” The legislature did precisely nothing.

Gov. Romney, acting on his own, ordered town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples on May 17, 2004, in contravention of Massachusetts state law and under threat of termination.

Gov. Romney in essence told these town clerks that if they did not break the law, he would fire them.

How any Republican could support this RINO is beyond me.

Lisa Murkowski "Super RINO"

GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski cast votes for repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” a tax-cut compromise, the START deal and cloture for the DREAM Act. She is the only Republican to hold that dishonor. Hey Alaska! Joe Miller would not have cast these votes! What were you thinking? We have six more years of this to look forward too.

(Politico)- Lisa Murkowski isn’t gunning down caribou on national TV like that other famous Alaskan, but the Republican lawmaker is going rogue in the Senate just weeks after staging the most stunning back-from-the-dead political win of the 2010 cycle.

Murkowski is already showing a fierce independent streak, becoming the only Republican to cast votes on all four items on President Barack Obama’s wish list: a repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” a tax-cut compromise, the START deal and cloture for the DREAM Act.

This is why she lost the primary. Alaska Republicans know a RINO when they see one.

RINO Rep. Cao Gets His Reward From Obama

Only one Republican cast a vote for Obamacare. It was Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao of Louisiana. He won the seat of "Cold Cash" Jefferson in November 2007. President Obama has now given Rep. Cao a formal thank you by making his first political ad of the fall election cycle for Cao's opponent Cedric Richmond.

Now, thanks to the indispensable daily Playbook of Politico's Mike Allen, the world knows that the very first campaign ad that Obama taped for this fall election cycle was to benefit Democrat Richmond against the Republican who enabled the White House to call healthcare passage bipartisan.

I would like to feel sorry for Rep. Cao's betrayal by President Obama, but I don't. Anyone who sides with Obama or trusts him will eventually get just what they deserve.

Waaa! Waaa! RINO Murkowski claims she was "smeared" by the Tea Party Express.

The Republican base is sick of career politicians who wear the Republican label out of convenience, not conviction or loyalty. RINO Lisa Murkowski has shown her true colors and declared herself as a write-in candidate. Her chances of winning as a write-in are slim and none. However, she could take a few votes from the GOP candidate Alaska attorney Joe Miller. Miller is a fine Conservative candidate and expected to win. He is a West Point graduate, Yale graduate and has experience as a judge. Miller will most likely win with Murkowski in the race and would have coasted to victory without her interference. Lisa Murkowski has put ego and sour grapes above the interests of Alaska and the GOP. She is a traitor to her party and should be banished to the ash heap of history.

CNN reported:

“What happened in my particular race, you had the Tea Party Express, this California-based group, come in at the last minute in a campaign, run a mudslinging, smear - just a terrible, terrible - campaign with lies and fabrications and mischaracterizations,” Murkowski told CNN’s Candy Crowley in an exclusive interview. “They came in, dumped $600,000 into a small market here in Alaska, and they absolutely clearly influenced the outcome.”

By the way, she apparently doesn't care what her former friends in the Republican Party think.

Speaking on CNN, the Alaska Republican said she is not concerned with making the Republican leadership happy.

Murkowski was considered one of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's top aides. McConnell has been forced to tell her to "move on."

Three Weeks After Winning Primary, McCain Regains Interest in Backdoor Amnesty

When facing a conservative primary challenger back in July, Senator John McCain said he opposes immigration reform that would give illegal immigrants a way to become citizens.

McCain, who at one point had been the top Republican advocate for immigration legislation promising a pathway to citizenship for some illegal immigrants, said he favored establishing a guest worker program. But McCain expressed opposition to any program that would give illegal immigrants a way to become citizens.

“No amnesty. Many of them need to be sent back,” McCain said during an interview on KQTH-FM in Tucson, Ariz.

Now the primary is three weeks in the past, Senator McCain has suddenly become open-minded to amnesty for some illegal immigrants. This is why Conservatives should never vote for a RINO. They can't be trusted. Harry Reid only needs five more votes to pass the DREAM Act he is attaching to a defense bill. We have to wonder how many Republicans in Arizona will stay home on election day in disgust.

Lindsey Graham Censured for Being a RINO

A South Carolina GOP group has formally censured GOP U.S Senator for disrespecting his constituents.

The party’s executive committee took the action Thursday, joining a handful of other county parties, including Greenville’s GOP.

Committee member Pete Seaha, who also is the Aiken County Tea Party chairman, wrote the resolution and introduced it at the meeting. The resolution states in part that Graham won’t be invited to any party meetings or events.

“I don’t believe the senator is sticking to conservative Republican principles,” said Seaha. “In my mind, the senator has disrespected his constituents. He has said publicly on a talk show that he didn’t care what they thought.”

Last month Graham called the Tea Party a fringe movement.

“The tea party will die out… Republicans will move away from the fringe.”
