Barney Frank gets "owned" by a conservative college student

Watch Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) sputter when he is asked tough questions. He clearly has no answers.

As much as I distain Cong Franks...he was successful with that audience in demonizing the student. I wished he was smacked down. Not this time tho.

I'm with Splicer. Frank seems to be the finger pointer in chief for the Democratic party. I can't remember the last time I heard him say anything that wasn't pointing finger everywhere but himself. It is like listening to Israel. The student was well spoken, but they were each having a separate argument. Frank was asking what he should have done to prevent the subprime crisis from happening, and the student was giving examples of things that happened after the crisis was well into crisis mode.

I agree with splicer, I thought Franks did a good job at deflecting and demonizing. If you know your facts, you know he was lying but if you don't it looks like Franks is the victim and he is defending himself well.

Hey All,

What amazes me most about this video is the applause that Frank gets.

What this shows me is the ignorance of the people in the audience.

As far back as 2003, people were warning the likes of Frank, and Waters, and Meeks about the upcoming financial collapse, and all they did was vilify the Regulator.

Frank only wants to take responsibility since he became Chairman? What about when he was saying that Freddie and Fannie had no problems back in 2003 and 2004?

The Republicans were clearly asking for more Regulation of Freddie and Fannie, and the Democrats were clearly defending the lending practices of these two institutions.

Barney Frank is an idiot, and how he continues to be elected by the people of Mass. is absurd.

But just look who they choose for their Senators.
