Report: Octomom on welfare

Why a woman with six kids, no job and no spouse wanted to have more children is beyond me. It looks like taxpayers are helping foot the bill.
Nadya Suleman, who famously gave birth to octuplets in 2009, is now receiving assistance from the state of California, TMZ reported. Suleman, who has 14 children in total, will receive $2,000 a month that can be used only on food, according to state laws.

The Octomom — who long swore she would never go on the dole — qualifies for the help because her total income is less than $8,000 per member of her household. TMZ reported she was given a state-issued credit card that is monitored to ensure it’s used only to purchase food.

Here is a video of what the Octomom's delivery may have been like.

It has come to this: Food stamp Friday party at Alabama nightclub

Chart that Mark Levin tweeted

I wonder if Jesse Jackson will attend? He claimed Obama should be proud to be the food stamp President.

Via The Daily Caller
A nightclub in Montgomery, Ala. is raising eyebrows by hosting a “Food Stamp Friday” party on April 6 that seems to glamorize life on the federal government’s food assistance program.

An invitation for the April 6 party obtained by The Daily Caller tells patrons of the Rose Supper Club in North Montgomery that the Friday night cover charge will be just $5 if a “food stamp card” is shown upon arrival.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) was designed for Americans living at near-poverty levels.

According to the flashy, postcard-size flier advertising the party, there will be “free shots at the door.” The announcement’s artwork mimics an Electronic Benefit Transfer card, the debit card used by Americans to redeem their SNAP benefits.

Glamorizing federal assistance bothers some who have seen the posters.

“I just don’t understand how they are promoting this without anyone saying anything about it,” Stephanie Pope, a Montgomery resident who has seen the fliers in gas stations, told TheDC.

Orlando Rogers, an employee who answered the telephone at the Rose on Thursday, confirmed that the “Food Stamp Friday” party is taking place at the venue next month. Keep on reading...

Department of Homeland Security video showing terrorists are white and often wear hoodies

Let me make sure I understand this. If you see a black guy in a hoodie walking through peoples backyards in a neighborhood with many burglaries, you are a racist if you suspect something is wrong. If you see a white guy in a hoodie doing something suspicious, he might be a terrorist and you should report him immediately. I got it.

White guys in hoodies shortly after the 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 8:00 minute marks.

Shameful: Tomorrow the U.S. will have world's highest corporate tax rate

What else would you expect from the most anti-business President in American history?

Via The Foundry:
This April Fool’s Day, the joke is on all of us. That’s because as of April 1, the U.S. now has the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world.
Our high corporate tax rate has long made the U.S. an uncompetitive place for new investment. This has driven new jobs to other, more competitive nations and meant fewer jobs and lower wages for all Americans.
Other developed nations have been cutting their rates for over 20 years. The U.S. did nothing.
The U.S. was at least able to stay out of the top spot until now, because Japan had also failed to get its corporate tax rate in line with other more competitive nations. But Japan has finally seen the light and reduced its rate as of April 1.
Japan’s rate was 39.5 percent. That was just barely ahead of the U.S. rate of 39.2 percent (this includes the 35 percent federal rate plus the average rate the states add on). Japan’s rate now stands at 36.8 percent after its recent cut.

Real 'Flat Earthers' believe in man-made global warming

Republicans have been ridiculed as Flat Earthers because of their skepticism of anthropogenic (man-made) global warming. They have been compared to Flat Earth believers.  President Obama joined in March 15th.
“If some of these folks were around when Columbus set sail, they must have been founding members of the flat earth society. They would not have believed that the world was round.”

Obama: GOP Candidates 'Would Have Been Founding Members Of The Flat Earth Society'

The truth is there really is a Flat Earth Society in existence even today. The current Flat Earth Society President, Daniel Shenton, is a strong believer in global warming. Take that liberals.
Daniel Shenton should be the most irrational man in the world. As the new president of the Flat Earth Society, you'd imagine he would also think that evolution is a scam and global warming a myth. He should argue that smoking does not cause cancer and HIV does not lead to Aids.[...]

In fact, Shenton turns out to have resolutely mainstream views on most issues. The 33-year-old American, originally from Virginia but now living and working in London, is happy with the work of Charles Darwin. He thinks the evidence for man-made global warming is strong, and he dismisses suggestions that his own government was involved with the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

He is mainstream on most issues, but not all.[...]

Scary: Professor Kari Norgaard: Climate skepticism is a sickness that needs to be "treated"

There is a pill that turns you into an Al Gore clone? Gulp!

Via The Register:
Skepticism regarding the need for immediate and massive action against carbon emissions is a sickness of societies and individuals which needs to be "treated", according to an Oregon-based professor of "sociology and environmental studies". Professor Kari Norgaard compares the struggle against climate scepticism to that against racism and slavery in the US South.

Prof Norgaard holds a B.S. in biology and a master's and PhD in sociology.
"Over the past ten years I have published and taught in the areas of environmental sociology, gender and environment, race and environment, climate change, sociology of culture, social movements and sociology of emotions," she says.

New Poll: Support for arresting George Zimmerman drops to 48%

Original images by mainstream media

What they actually looked like recently

The truth is the mainstream media did a high-tech lynching of George Zimmerman. None of them or us know if he should be arrested. We should let the authorities investigate and decide. The change in polling is undoubtedly a response to more information coming out. We now know more of Zimmerman's side of the story and we have learned Trayvon Martin was not the angelic faced little kid first portrayed in the images made viral by the mainstream media. Most people don't read much of a news article. The just read a couple of lines and look at the pictures. Even AP now admits the first images of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman were very deceptive.

The last few days have moved public opinion significantly in favor of George Zimmerman.
  • In CNN’s poll conducted last weekend, 73% of American adults thought that Zimmerman should be arrested.
  • Just a few days later, our poll conducted Tuesday and Wednesday revealed that just 48% of Americans believe he should be arrested. Our poll matched the partisan distribution of the CNN poll, so this is a real and significant change in opinion as more key details came out over a few brief days.

The most partisan President ever praises Sen. John McCain for his ability to engage in "compromise and bipartisanship”

If President Obama had been serious about bringing a new atmosphere to Washington, he would have voted for John McCain in 2008. Obama loves to blame Republicans and the Tea Party, but the truth is he has been the most polarizing President ever. After passing his first budget and the Stimulus only a couple of token Republican votes, Obama doubled-down and passed the most expansive and expensive piece of legislation in decades, Obamacare, without any Republican support. The political water in Washington has been poisoned ever since. It has been almost three years since the Senate passed a budget. President Obama praising John McCain for bipartisanship is lot like a hooker praising a nun for chastity.

BURLINGTON, Vt. — President Obama offered some qualified praise for his 2008 GOP rival John McCain, saying that the Arizona senator and onetime presidential rival understood how to work across the aisle and compromise — unlike this year’s Republican contenders.

“In 2008, I was running against a candidate who believed in climate change, believed in immigration reform, believed in reducing deficits in a balanced way,” Obama told about 100 supporters at a fundraiser in Burlington, Vt.
“We had some profound disagreements, but the Republican candidate for president understood that some of these challenges required compromise and bipartisanship.” Obama said.

Michelle Obama claims Barack is up late reading Americans letters. Of course, she made this claim in a fundraising email.
In a fundraising e-mail with the heading "up late," Mrs. Obama writes to donors: "Every night in the White House, I see Barack up late poring over briefings, reading your letters, and writing notes to people he's met.

"He's doing that for you," she adds. "Working hard every day to make sure we can finish what we all started together.

"This week, I need you to have his back," says the e-mail. "Will you donate $3 or more to support Barack before Saturday's critical fundraising deadline?"

Comedy Gold: Keith Olbermann plans to sue Al Gore over Current TV firing

May their lawyers end up with all the money.

Via Fox Nation:
Keith Olbermann’s full statement in response to the termination of his contract by Current TV:
‘I’d like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I’ve been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt’s “values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty,” I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee’s name was Clarence B. Cain.’

Indonesian Clerics: Skirts Above the Knee are “Pornographic”

Next step, bring out the Burka.
Jakarta, 28 March (AKI) – The mini-skirts is pornographic, according to Indonesian Religious Affairs Minister, Suryadharma Ali.

Skirts hemmed above the knee will be included in a government task force’s definition of pornography, according to news reports.

“There must be a set of universal criteria to define something as pornographic, of which one will be when someone wears a skirt above the knee,” Suryadharma, said on the margins of a Lower House hearing, the Jakarta Post reported on Wednesday.

The task force is creating a working definition of pornography that the government will rely on in the future to enforce indecency laws.

Michelle Obama takes a 'trip to Las Vegas … on the taxpayer’s dime'

Doesn't Michelle Obama realize the rest of America is hurting and having trouble taking one vacation?
First lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are visiting Las Vegas after stopping in South Dakota on a family trip.

A spokeswoman for McCarran International Airport confirmed that the first lady was expected to arrive in Las Vegas Wednesday night. The visit wasn’t expected to affect flight operations.

White House officials say the Obamas are on a private family trip to the West.

After this March, should President Obama be put on suicide watch?

President Obama has had an absolutely horrible month. There is no other way to spin it.

The Sandra Fluke controversy blew up in his and democrats' face. She turned out to be a 30 year-old left wing activist with a Socialist boyfriend, an overactive sense of entitlement and too stupid to know Target sold birth control for as little as $9 a month next door to her campus. President Obama planned to damage Republicans with the women's vote, but ended up alienating Catholics.

Meanwhile gas prices are skyrocketing and threatening President Obama's popularity and re-election chances.

President Obama was forced in March to meet with his most hated foreign leader.

Then, the Trayvon Martin indecent blew up in his and democrats' face. President Obama claimed Trayvon Martin would look a lot like his son. Take a look at this image and you will see why Obama would love to have that comment back.

It looks probable that SCOTUS will take a wrecking ball to his signature accomplishment Obamacare.

While that was going on, in a hot mic moment, Obama was caught plotting to sell us out to the Russians after the election.

If that weren't enough, this week every democrat in the House voted against Obama's proposed budget.

Oh, and Obama's NCAA bracket is seriously broken. He had North Carolina winning it all.

WH Spokesman Carney Struggles to Explain Obama's Hypocrisy on Tax Breaks for Oil Companies

It seems Obama was for tax breaks for oil companies before he was against them.
Ed Henry (Fox News): Why did the President vote for the energy bill in 2005 as a Senator that had over $2 billion in tax breaks for the oil industry. They were making a lot of money then too.
Carney: What I can tell you Ed is that the oil and gas companies in this country are making record profits, now, in 2012. The price at the pump is very high and that is plenty of incentive for these companies to continue drill, to continue to explore, to continue to develop energy sources here in the United States and abroad. There is no reason for the American taxpayer to subsidize that activity.
Henry: So why’d he vote for it?
Carney: I haven’t examined the vote, or what the prices were at the time, or the whole bill it was attached to. What I know and what the President knows is that this year, 2012, when we are seeing high prices at the pump, high prices in the international oil markets and high profits for the oil and gas companies, there is no reason to continue these kinds of subsidies. Take that argument to the people, I don’t think they’ll go along with it.

Good News: Pravda Endorses Obama

Looks like Russia wants to find out exactly how much more flexible President Obama will be if he is re-elected.

Via The Weekly Standard:
Pravda is hitting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney over comments he made about Russia. "Russia is the geopolitical foe," Romney said earlier this week in response to President Obama telling his Russian counterpart to give him "space" so that he could have "more flexibility" after the 2012 presidential election.

So, in an op-ed today posted on Pravda's website, the infamous former Soviet newspaper writes, "Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial paedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls' dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand. His comments on Russia are a puerile attempt at making the grand stage and boy, did he blow it..."

Then, Pravda praises present Russian relations with the United States under President Obama. "Exactly at a time when Russia and the USA are finding that they have far more in common than differences, exactly when they see that they are much more friends than foes, when they see that there is so much to be gained through collaboration,[...]

Shocking New Low From MSNBC: They Edited Zimmerman's 911 Call to Make Him Look Like a Racist

Here’s how MSNBC reported the call:
“This guy looks like he’s up to no good. . . he looks black,” Zimmerman told a police dispatcher from his car.
What he really said:
ZIMMERMAN: This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.
911 DISPATCHER: Okay, is this guy, is he white, black, or Hispanic?
ZIMMERMAN: He looks black.

Climate alarmists double-down and claim world has 8 years before global warming tipping point

They do know it hasn't gotten any warmer in the last seventeen years. Don't they?
LONDON (Reuters) – The world is close to reaching tipping points that will make it irreversibly hotter, making this decade critical in efforts to contain global warming, scientists warned on Monday.
Scientific estimates differ but the world’s temperature looks set to rise by six degrees Celsius by 2100 if greenhouse gas emissions are allowed to rise uncontrollably.
As emissions grow, scientists say the world is close to reaching thresholds beyond which the effects on the global climate will be irreversible, such as the melting of polar ice sheets and loss of rainforests.
“This is the critical decade. If we don’t get the curves turned around this decade we will cross those lines,” said Will Steffen, executive director of the Australian National University’s climate change institute, speaking at a conference in London.
“We are on the cusp of some big changes,” said Steffen. “We can … cap temperature rise at two degrees, or cross the threshold beyond which the system shifts to a much hotter state.”

Unbelievable: Obama administration is now referring to Obamacare as a “bi-partisan bill”

Victory has many fathers, but defeat is always a bastard. The Obama administration is starting to distance themselves from Obamacare.
(Free Beacon) — The Obama administration is now referring to Obamacare as a “bi-partisan bill” and calling the unpopular individual mandate “a Republican idea,” following three days of tough questioning by the Supreme Court.
“The Affordable Care Act is a bipartisan plan and one that we think is constitutional,” Deputy White House press Secretary Josh Earnest told reporters on Wednesday afternoon.
No Republican voted for the Affordable Care Act on final passage.
He also referred to the individual mandate as the “individual responsibility” clause of the bill, in an attempt to distance the administration from the term individual mandate.
“The administration remains confident that the Affordable Care Act is constitutional; one of the reasons for that is that the original personal responsibility clause . . . was a conservative idea,” he said.
Conservatives have blasted the administration for the individual mandate and only one Republican voted for Obamacare in both houses of the legislature.

Shocking Statistic: 17 per cent of men aged 25 to 54 are unemployed

And Obama wonders why his poll numbers with men are so low.
(Daily Mail) — It makes for sobering reading.
In recent months the job market looked to be on the rise, offering hope that the economy might finally be getting back on track.
But data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that nearly 20 per cent of America’s core workforce are out of a job.
After five years of struggles, it is a sobering reminder of how far the country still has to go.
Two in 10 or 17 per cent of men aged 25 to 54 — traditionally the backbone of the workforce — are unemployed.
Just five years ago 88 per cent of prime-age men were holding down steady jobs. Going back to the 1940s through 70s more than 90 per cent were in employment.
More shocking still is the fact the number of 25 to 54-year-old men with a job (45.9 million) is actually lower than during the height of the recession, which ran from December 2007 to June of 2009.
SmartMoney compared that data to the entire population and noted that, by that measure, just 75 percent of prime-age men currently have a full time job.

Breaking the Hockey Stick

The infamous Hockey Stick Graph (above) started the whole cycle of global warming alarm-ism. Many skeptics claimed the graph wrongly used statistical techniques to 'smooth' out the well known Medieval Warm Period. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Hockey Stick supporters claimed the Medieval Warm Period was limited to Europe and the Northern Hemisphere. They denied it was really global warming. At the time, the Earth only had a quarter of a billion human inhabitants and man-made CO2 was minimal. Well, a new proxy proves they are wrong. Antarctica warmed too during the Medieval Warm Period.
(Daily Mail) — Current theories of the causes and impact of global warming have been thrown into question by a new study which shows that during medieval times the whole of the planet heated up.
It then cooled down naturally and there was even a ‘mini ice age’.
A team of scientists led by geochemist Zunli Lu from Syracuse University in New York state, has found that contrary to the ‘consensus’, the ‘Medieval Warm Period’ approximately 500 to 1,000 years ago wasn’t just confined to Europe.
In fact, it extended all the way down to Antarctica — which means that the Earth has already experience global warming without the aid of human CO2 emissions.
At present the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) argues that the Medieval Warm Period was confined to Europe — therefore that the warming we’re experiencing now is a man-made phenomenon.
However, Professor Lu has shown that this isn’t true — and the evidence lies with a rare mineral called ikaite, which forms in cold waters.
‘Ikaite is an icy version of limestone,’ said Lu. ‘The crystals are only stable under cold conditions and actually melt at room temperature.’
It turns out the water that holds the crystal structure together — called the hydration water — traps information about temperatures present when the crystals formed.
This finding by Lu’s research team establishes, for the first time, ikaite as a reliable way to study past climate conditions.
Here is what the Hockey Stick graph should really look like when the Medieval Warm Period is included..

John Kerry Swiftboats Climate Change Skeptics

Senator John Kerry has joined President Obama in calling climate change skeptics "flat Earthers." In a moment of astounding hypocrisy, Kerry also said skeptics, “made up their own science. They made up their own arguments,”
BOSTON – Massachusetts Democrat Sen. John Kerry, exasperated at what he called “the flat-earth caucus,” on Sunday described the frustrations of working on environmental issues in the U.S. Senate.
Even amid the “Tuesday Group” – a bi-partisan bloc of lawmakers, mostly Democrats, who are interested in energy issues – “you can’t talk about climate now,” Kerry said. “People just turn off. It’s extraordinary. Only for national security and jobs will they open their minds.”
Kerry blamed brothers David and Charles Koch, oil billionaires who have bankrolled attempts to discredit climate change, as well as opposition from energy companies. “You have Peabody Coal. You have MidAmerican. They have these big old cash cows, these old coal-powered plants. It’s just cash coming in, and they want to keep it that way.
“This is unrestrained, least-ethical, bottom-line capitalism,” said Kerry, who ran unsuccessfully against George W. Bush for president in 2004 and now chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “We have lost the notion of responsible capitalism.”[...]
Opponents to the legislation “made up their own science. They made up their own arguments,” Kerry said. “The Republicans created this idea of (carbon credit) trading because it avoided command and control by the federal government.” Then, “they just decided to pick up and brand this a negative.”

Fail: Liberal SCOTUS Justices Resort to Helping Obama's Solicitor General Argue in Favor of Obamacare

The four liberal members of the Supreme Court should recuse themselves from the ACA (aka Obamacare) case. Instead of asking questions to force President Obama's Solicitor General to defend the administration's position, they are actively helping him make it! Can you imagine a Judge in a criminal trial presenting arguments exonerating the defendant?

Here are some samples via Slate:

Ruth Bader Ginsberg:

Mr. Verrilli, I thought that your main point is that, unlike food or any other market, when you made the choice not to buy insurance, even though you have every intent in the world to self-insure, to save for it, when disaster strikes, you may not have the money.

Stephen Breyer:

Justice Kennedy asked, can you, under the Commerce Clause, Congress create commerce where previously none existed. Well, yes, I thought the answer to that was, since McCulloch versus Maryland, when the Court said Congress could create the Bank of the United States which did not previously exist, which job was to create commerce that did not previously exist, since that time the answer has been, yes.

Breyer, again.

Your question is whether or not there are any limits on the Commerce Clause. Can you identify for us some limits on the Commerce Clause?

There has never been any question in any Supreme Court analysts mind about how the four liberal Justices will vote on this case.  Their minds were made up before the law was passed. Two of them, Sotomayer and Kagan, owe Obama their jobs. Breyer and Ginsberg are judicial activists who never met a liberal idea they didn't like.

2007 Flashback Video: Obama's Energy Secretary Stephen Chu, "Coal is my worst nightmare"

This explains why Obama chose Stephen Chu as Energy secretary. They both hate the coal industry and want higher energy prices. President Obama wanted a partner in his plan to destroy the coal industry.

Transcript here:
Let me go to the supply side of the energy problem. Now, we have lots of fossil fuel. That’s really both good and bad news. We won’t run out of energy, but there’s enough carbon in the ground to really cook us.

Coal is my worst nightmare.
Carbon emission in the next thirty years is predicted in the current forecast to - we’ll be adding three times the amount of carbon dioxide in the previous history of all humanity if we continue on our present course.

Don't be surprised if your valuables are stolen at JFK Airport while TSA is feeling you up

Reportedly, there are are more than 200 thefts a day from baggage at JFK Airport.
Cash, jewelry, electronics and other valuables are being stolen from passengers’ baggage at a staggering rate.

It’s happening as a result of inside jobs that aren’t being stopped, CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer reports exclusively.

All Rita Lamberg has left is an empty jewelry drawer and pictures of the $160,000 worth of watches, rings and necklaces that were stolen from her baggage at JFK Airport.

“I am so sick. This is a lifetime, a lifetime of my savings,” Lamberg said.

But Lamberg isn’t alone. Law enforcement sources told Kramer that thefts at the airport have increased at a staggering and alarming rate. There are now more that 200 a day — and that’s every day. Baggage handlers, jetway workers and even security people are all in on the ongoing scam to steal you blind.
In many cases they are stealing the entire luggage. The Airline then tells you it was lost. Reporting thefts is bad for business.

Priceless: Retiring Centrist Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) gives Obama a failing grade for bipartisanship

Retiring Sen. Olympia Snowe claims Obama hasn't met with her in over two years. So much for bringing a new atmosphere to Washington.
(The Hill)- Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-Maine) hasn’t met with President Obama in two years, she said in an interview on Tuesday.
“I think it was during the healthcare debate,” the centrist senator told ABC News. “There was a meeting on energy, a meeting in the spring of 2010.”
Asked to give Obama a grade on his outreach to legislators, she said it would be “close to failing.”
“A president should be reaching out to many on the opposite side of the aisle. You know, to many Republicans, on a bipartisan basis,” the three-term senator said.

Top legal analyst: Obamacare law is 'in grave, grave trouble'

Top legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin is preparing liberals for bad news.
A top legal analyst predicted Tuesday that the Obama administration's healthcare reform legislation seemed likely to be struck down by the Supreme Court.

Jeffrey Toobin, a lawyer and legal analyst, who writes about legal topics for The New Yorker said the law looked to be in "trouble." He called it a "trainwreck for the Obama administration."

"This law looks like it's going to be struck down. I'm telling you, all of the predictions, including mine, that the justices would not have a problem with this law were wrong," Toobin said Tuesday on CNN. "I think this law is in grave, grave trouble."

Toobin's observation came on the second day of oral arguments at the Supreme Court over the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-elusional) is still in denial.
(The Hill) — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said tough questions from Supreme Court justices did not indicate how the court would rule and took to task a legal analyst who said otherwise.

Reid reacted to CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin’s remark that the healthcare law “looks like it’s going to be struck down” because of the tenor of the morning’s hearing.
“I’ve been in court a lot more than Jeffrey Toobin and I had arguments, federal, circuit, Supreme Court and hundreds of times before trial courts,” Reid said. “And the questions you get from the judges doesn’t mean that’s what’s going to wind up with the opinion.”

It has begun: Obama EPA moves to destroy the coal industry

President Obama promised to destroy the coal industry with new regulations and taxes. he has been incrementally advancing that plan by adding more stringent regulations. In a big step towards his goal of higher energy prices, Obama's EPA is moving to stop new coal powered plants. Pay attention voters in Wyoming, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and other coal producing/using states.

The Washington Post reported:
The Environmental Protection Agency will issue the first limits on greenhouse gas emissions from new power plants as early as Tuesday, according to several people briefed on the proposal. The move could end the construction of conventional coal-fired facilities in the United States.
The proposed rule — years in the making and approved by the White House after months of review — will require any new power plant to emit no more than 1,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt of electricity produced. The average U.S. natural gas plant, which emits 800 to 850 pounds of CO2 per megawatt, meets that standard; coal plants emit an average of 1,768 pounds of carbon dioxide per megawatt.
Industry officials and environmentalists said in interviews that the rule, which comes on the heels of tough new requirements that the Obama administration imposed on mercury emissions and cross-state pollution from utilities within the past year, dooms any proposal to build a coal-fired plant that does not have costly carbon controls.
“This standard effectively bans new coal plants,” said Joseph Stanko, who heads government relations at the law firm Hunton and Williams and represents several utility companies. “So I don’t see how that is an ‘all of the above’ energy policy.”

Trayvon Martin was reportedly suspended from school in October after being caught with women's jewelry and a flathead screwdriver

You mean all male high school students don't pack 12 pieces of women's' jewelry and a potential burglary tool? This incident occurred last October. At the time of his death, Trayvon Martin was on suspension for allegedly possessing a baggie with marijuana residue. He also had a very offensive twitter account. You can view his tweets here.
SANFORD — Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.

Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald.

A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver, calling the information in the report an attempt to “demonize” the youth.

According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School spotted Trayvon and two other students writing “W.T.F.,” an acronym for “What the f—,” on a hallway locker, according to schools police. The security employee, who knew Trayvon, confronted the teen and looked through his bag for the graffiti marker.

Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

(PennLive) — Pennsylvania State Rep. Babette Josephs, D-Philadelphia, picked up the political hand grenade that is the state’s ultrasound bill today when she wondered aloud at a Capitol rally if Republican women who had co-sponsored the bill are “men with breasts.”...
During her remarks, she blasted women lawmakers who co-sponsored the ultrasound bill, asking rhetorically, “What are they? Women, or are they men with breasts?” according to supporters of the bill who watched the rally.
Josephs stood by her words after the rally, arguing that the women lawmakers on the bill – sponsored by Rep. Kathy Rapp of Warren County — are acting like women only in the sense “that they will do what the men tell them.”
“They must believe that they are not capable of making their own health care choices, but they are capable of voting on bills that control all of our behavior,” Josephs continued. “I don’t understand it. . .
“I don’t believe they’re really women. . . . I believe they’re men with breasts.”

Afghan Security Forces have killed at least 52 U.S. soldiers since 2007. Where is our apology?

Afghan Security Forces have killed at least 52 U.S. soldiers since 2007. Why aren't Americans rioting in the streets? Why aren't we demanding an apology? Why hasn't the Afghan government paid money to the families of the victims?
(CNSNews.com) – Afghan Security Forces have killed at least 52 and wounded approximately 70 of their American counterparts since 2007 in what the military describes as “green on blue” attacks, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan told lawmakers last week.
U.S. Gen. John Allen, who commands the NATO-led coalition force in Afghanistan, testified about the situation in Afghanistan during a March 22 Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.
His testimony came amid growing tensions in Afghanistan prompted by a U.S. soldier allegedly killing 17 civilians, including women and children, on March 11 and American military personnel accidentally burning Korans at a military base on Feb. 20.

Obvious: Liberals are clueless about Conservatives

Speaking of clueless...

Add this to the list of things Liberals are clueless about.

Via The NYT's:
Conservatives may not like liberals, but they seem to understand them. In contrast, many liberals find conservative voters not just wrong but also bewildering.

One academic study asked 2,000 Americans to fill out questionnaires about moral questions. In some cases, they were asked to fill them out as they thought a “typical liberal” or a “typical conservative” would respond.

Moderates and conservatives were adept at guessing how liberals would answer questions. Liberals, especially those who described themselves as “very liberal,” were least able to put themselves in the minds of their adversaries and guess how conservatives would answer.

House Progressive Caucus Budget Proposal: $4.7 trillion in new taxes (over Obama budget) and $2.9 trillion in new stimulus spending

And who said liberals aren't insane?
(The Hill) — House liberal Democrats on Monday unveiled a 2013 budget that increases taxes by $4.7 trillion more than President Obama proposed in his own budget last month.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus said the taxes are necessary to fund $2.9 trillion in new stimulus spending to “put Americans back to work” and “rebuild the middle classes” while reducing the deficit. This new spending includes canceling the cuts in last August’s debt ceiling deal between Congress and the White House.
The CPC budget will be offered as an amendment this week to the House GOP budget for 2013, which contains $2 trillion less in revenue than Obama has proposed over ten years.
Liberals get $897 billion in tax revenue from imposing an energy tax on carbon fuels, and $849 billion from taxing Wall Street trades. Another $319 comes from a millionaires surtax. The CPC budget also ends Bush era tax rates for the wealthy.

It’s breaking and entering for dummies.
Picture the Homeless, a Bronx nonprofit that has received at least $240,000 in taxpayer money in the last five years, is giving a crash course on squatting — and city-owned buildings are a prime target.
Two weeks ago, board member Andres Perez held a teach-in on how to wrest “control” of vacant apartments. He called it “homesteading.”
“The best time to enter a building is in the late hours,” he advised a group of about 20, who gathered in front of the half-empty East New York housing complex Arlington Village.
“You make sure you have your proper tools. You remove the chains and padlock, and then you go in.”
He then led them through the next steps — including filling out a change-of-address form at the post office and setting up utilities. After that, “nine out of 10 times the courts will allow you to be able to have control of the property,” he said.

Fail: Gannett Wisconsin Media outs 29 circuit court judges for signing Walker recall petition. Forced to out 25 of their alleged journalists for same.

What? The mainstream media is biased?
Last week, the Gannett Wisconsin Media Investigative Team broke a story that appeared in The Post-Crescent, exposing 29 circuit court judges who signed petitions to recall Gov. Scott Walker. It was a story we were proud to bring to you. It was watchdog journalism in its finest sense, a role we take seriously. Today, in the interest of full transparency, we are informing you that 25 Gannett Wisconsin Media journalists, including nine at The P-C, also signed the Walker recall petitions. It was wrong, and those who signed were in breach of Gannett's Principles of Ethical Conduct for Newsrooms.

Carbon Tax Blow-back: Labor Takes a Drubbing in Queensland

Australia prime minister Julia Gillard’s Labor party stood with a “no carbon tax policy” during last years election. After the election Gillard and Labor proved themselves liars and changed their position. Labor passed a unpopular $23 a ton carbon tax in November of last year. Now, the voters are speaking.

Via The Australian
JULIA Gillard has been warned she faces electoral annihilation in Queensland after voters mauled Labor in Saturday's state election, ousting 43 MPs and slashing the party's representation to single figures in its worst result on record.

With the Campbell Newman-led Liberal National Party smashing nearly 14 years of Labor rule with a devastating 16 per cent swing, former Labor premier Peter Beattie yesterday declared his party was in crisis after the worst electoral drubbing since Federation.[...]

While Ms Gillard avoided commenting on the Queensland rout, Tony Abbott said Labor was "toxic" nationwide and Queenslander and Nationals Senate leader Barnaby Joyce said federal Labor was following the Greens "into the abyss" and faced "absolute annihilation".[...]

Mr Abbott said Labor could restore its standing at the federal level if it was prepared to be truthful and economically prudent.

But he said he believed the government had already established itself as incompetent and untrustworthy.

"And there's the carbon tax lie which will haunt this Prime Minister right through until the next election," he said. Keep on reading...

New Civility Fail: The Left's Uncivil Response to Cheney's Heart Transplant

The  Daily Caller has a sample:
While Dick Cheney was recovering from his heart transplant in the intensive care unit of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. Saturday, Twitter exploded with hate and ill wishes for the former vice president.
“Whoever donated their heart to dick cheney: f*ck you,” tweeted @yokelesy.
“Cheney’s black soul keeps rotting out his heart. F*ck that bitch,” @SolidGlo waxed poetic.
“Why in the contumacious f*ck are we wasting a perfectly good heart on dick cheney?” tweeted @mr_senor_pete
Another offered a different if similar perspective, expressing happiness for Cheney’s transplant — so that Cheney could one day meet his demise in a fire.
“I’m glad Cheney survived his heart transplant because I’ve always wanted him to die in a horrible fire,” @Jedimasterbator tweeted.

GM Volt-$40,000, Government Subsidy- $7500, Recharging Power Cord So Cheap It Melts- Priceless.

GM Volt owners who use the 120 volt charger have reported their cords melt. GM claims this isn't a safety problem, but is replacing the cords.
(USA Today) — Volt owners are getting another lesson in what it means to be on the cutting edge of auto mobility — many will need to bring their cars in for a beefier extension cord.
General Motors has announced it is replacing the cord and charging device that lets owners charge the car from a 120-volt household outlet, according to a report by Reuters.
GM spokesman Randal Fox told Reuters that the replacement for the charger that comes with the $40,000 car has a beefier cable and will “offer a more consistent charging experience,” though it won’t make it charge faster. The program covers all 2011 Volts and some 2012s — the 120-volt cords, 240-volt cords are not affected.
“It’s not a safety recall,” Fox said. “It’s more of a customer-satisfaction program.”
According to Consumer Reports, some Volt owners have complained that their 120-volt charger “overheats during use and have even documented online videos of melted 120-volt chargers.” CR said it has not had the problem in its testing of the car, which is on its “recommended” list.

Dick Cheney gets a new heart

Let's pray for a speedy recovery.

(CBS News) Former Vice President Dick Cheney received a heart transplant on Saturday, his office announced.
A statement from the former vice president's office said the 71-year-old is now recovering in the intensive care unit of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., outside Washington.

The statement said Cheney had been on the transplant list for 20 months and did not know the identity of the donor.

"Although the former vice president and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift," the statement read.

Shocking Admission: NY Times Gives Bush and Cheney credit for US energy production surge

I never thought this admission would come from the New York Times.
Not only has the United States reduced oil imports from members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries by more than 20 percent in the last three years, it has become a net exporter of refined petroleum products like gasoline for the first time since the Truman presidency. The natural gasindustry, which less than a decade ago feared running out of domestic gas, is suddenly dealing with a glut so vast that import facilities are applying for licenses to export gas to Europe and Asia.
National oil production, which declined steadily to 4.95 million barrels a day in 2008 from 9.6 million in 1970, has risen over the last four years to nearly 5.7 million barrels a day. The Energy Department projects that daily output could reach nearly seven million barrels by 2020. Some experts think it could eventually hit 10 million barrels — which would put the United States in the same league as Saudi Arabia.[...]
The Bush administration worked from the start on finding ways to unlock the nation’s energy reserves and reverse decades of declining output, with Mr. Cheney leading a White House energy task force that met in secret with top oil executives. [...]
The Bush administration also opened large swaths of the Gulf of Mexico and the waters off Alaska to exploration, granting lease deals that required companies to pay only a tiny share of their profits to the government.

Report: Eyewitness claims Zimmerman Was On Ground Being Attacked By Trayvon Martin Before He Shot Him

Don't look for the mainstream media to give this much play. It doesn't fit in with the race-baiting that is now being led by a host of likely characters. Also, don't look for them to point out Zimmerman is Hispanic and has black relatives. I don't have a position on whether the shooting was justified. We should let the authorities investigate and the chips will fall where they may.
SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) – Investigators with the Sanford Police Department are still trying to figure out exactly what happened during an altercation which resulted in a fatal shooting in the Twin Lakes area.   The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday evening on Twin Trees Lane.  A man who witnessed part of the altercation contacted authorities.

“The guy on the bottom, who had a red sweater on [Zimmerman], was yelling to me, ‘Help! Help!’ and I told him to stop, and I was calling 911,” said the witness, who asked to be identified only by his first name, John.

John said he locked his patio door, ran upstairs and heard at least one gun shot.
“And then, when I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on the top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point.”

'Drill, Baby, Drill' President Poses in Front of an Oil Well

Does President Obama really think voters are stupid enough to think he supports more drilling?

Via NY Post:
“We are drilling all over the place right now,” insisted Obama, as he stood in front of a stack of massive pipes for a new pipeline that will run from storehouses in Cushing, Okla., to refineries in Texas.

That will be the southern leg of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Texas, which Obama blocked just weeks ago, citing environmental concerns.

PRIMING THE ELECTION PUMP: President Obama puts himself in front of a well in New Mexico on his multistate “pro-energy” tour.
The oil company TransCanada decided to build the southern leg anyway because it doesn’t cross an international border and, therefore, doesn’t need Obama’s approval.

The president, on a two-day trip to promote his energy policies, still tried to grab credit.
He announced that he would “cut through red tape, break through bureaucratic hurdles and make this project a priority.”

Obama’s action won’t shorten the timeline for the project, which already was scheduled to start as soon as June, according to TransCanada.

A solid majority of Americans — 57 percent — said they believe the government should approve construction of the entire Keystone pipeline, according to a Gallup Poll released yesterday. Read more here...

Irony: Fear of anti-gun Obama causes Ruger to sell out of guns and suspend new orders

This story may make liberals heads explode.
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), announced today that for the first quarter 2012, the Company has received orders for more than one million units. Therefore, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.

Chief Executive Officer Michael O. Fifer made the following comments:

The Company's Retailer Programs that were offered from January 1, 2012 through February 29, 2012 were very successful and generated significant orders from retailers to independent wholesale distributors for Ruger firearms.

Year-to-date, the independent wholesale distributors placed orders with the Company for more than one million Ruger firearms.

Despite the Company's continuing successful efforts to increase production rates, the incoming order rate exceeds our capacity to rapidly fulfill these orders. Consequently, the Company has temporarily suspended the acceptance of new orders.

The Company expects to resume the normal acceptance of orders by the end of May 2012.
The Company will announce its results and file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the first quarter of 2012 on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, after the close of the stock market.

Gallop Poll: Clinging to your religion may make you enjoy life more

Liberals attend church less. perhaps that is why they are so unhappy.
(CNS News) — A Gallup survey released Thursday reveals that Americans who attend religious services at least once a week enjoy life more than Americans who do not.
A separate Gallup survey, meanwhile, shows that Americans who attend religious services at least once a week are also less likely to approve of the job Barack Obama is doing as president.
The Gallup survey on the emotional disposition of religious and non-religious Americans was based on interviews with 329,152 adults conducted throughout 2011.

Confirmed: Republicans Know More Than Democrats

The icing on the cake is this survey was done by the left of center Pew Research Center. It wasn't even close. Republicans outperformed Democrats on all 19 questions.
(CFIF)- So Republicans are more knowledgeable than Democrats, contrary to what many would like to believe.

According to whom? None other than the Pew Research Center, a left-of-center organization. Moreover, Pew’s latest survey only reaffirms previous surveys demonstrating the same result.

In fact, the results weren’t even close.

In a scientific survey of 1,168 adults conducted during September and October of last year, respondents were asked not only multiple-choice questions, but also queries using maps, photographs and symbols. Among other subjects, participants identified international leaders, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, nations on a world map, the current unemployment and poverty rates and war casualty totals.

In a 2010 Pew survey, Republicans outperformed Democrats on 10 of 12 questions, with one tie and Democrats outperforming Republicans on just 1 of the 12. In the latest survey, however, Republicans outperformed Democrats on every single one of 19 questions.

Amusingly, the Pew report attempted to soften the stark partisan knowledge disparity:

“Republicans generally outperformed Democrats on the current quiz. On 13 of the 19 questions, Republicans score significantly higher than Democrats and there are no questions on which Democrats did better than Republicans. In past knowledge quizzes, partisan differences have been more muted, though Republicans often have scored somewhat higher than Democrats.” Keep on reading...

New Rick Santorum Ad Has Obama Supporters Outraged

Via The Hill:
Several key White House offices were involved with the Obama administration’s messaging plans and other preparations as the collapse of the taxpayer-backed solar company Solyndra was imminent, newly released documents show.

The latest White House documents delivered to House Republicans on Friday again highlight the extent to which senior administration officials braced for the fallout as Solyndra – a company President Obama had personally visited – was about to go under.

A White House memo that noted the danger of “imminent bankruptcy” at the end of August 2011 says, “OMB, DPC and NEC have been working with press and OLA to be prepared for this news to break.” Keep on reading...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi: Obamacare is "iron-clad constitutionally”

My guess is SCOTUS is getting ready to fire an armor-piercing round at Pelosi's "iron-clad" Obamacare. They will likely strike down the mandate, but leave the rest of the law as a mess for Congress to clean up.
(Healthwatch) — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday said Democrats are confident their healthcare law will survive its day before the Supreme Court.
The California Democrat said the law is legally “ironclad” and supporters are “in pretty good shape” just days ahead of the high court’s three-day examination of the law.
“We knew that what we were doing when we passed this bill was iron-clad constitutionally,” Pelosi said during an event in the Capitol staged by Democrats to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the law. “What happens in the courts is another matter, but we believe that we’re in pretty good shape.
“I have faith in the courts and I have faith in the bill,” she added.

Lord Christopher Monckton (former policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher): ‘I’m no birther,’ but Obama birth certificate ‘plainly a forgery’

It would seem global warming isn't the only thing Lord Christopher Monckton is skeptical about.

Via The Daily Caller:
“I mean, hey you got a president who has a false birth certificate on the Internet, on the White House website,” Monckton said. “It’s not even clear where he was born. You’ve got a national debt which is rising into the stratosphere. You’ve got unemployment certainly here in California at 11 percent, 50 percent in the construction industry. These are real problems. You’ve got real environmental problems — overfishing, deforestation, pollution, not so much in the west but certainly in other countries. These are real problems which ought to be addressed. You’ve got poverty. You’ve got disease. These are again serious problems in Africa for instance, that we could be helping with. But no, we’re obsessed with making the rich even richer and making the absolute bankers richer still by going for global warming and cap-and-trade and other nonsenses of this kind.”

Miller protested by saying he disagreed with the suggestion that Obama has a fraudulent birth certificate. But Monckton dug in his heels.

“I don’t know whether he is Kenyan or not,” Monckton said. “The point is that if I were you, I would want to make absolutely sure that he was born here before allowing him to be elected. And the birth certificate that he put up on that website, I don’t know where he was born. But I do know that birth certificate isn’t genuine.”

Monckton firmly asserted that the birth certificate on the White House website wasn’t real, and claimed it could be dismantled with software.
