Vandals defaced a Sarasota County Republican Party anti-Obama billboard over the weekend in Venice, Florida, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune:
Vandals this past weekend extensively damaged a Sarasota County Republican Party billboard with the message “Repeal Obama.”
At about 8 a.m. Sunday, Sarasota GOP Chairman Joe Gruters said he received an email notifying him about the damage to the sign at the U.S. 41 Bypass and Center Road.
Someone with a cutting instrument removed the word “Repeal,” the GOP’s website address and its financial disclosure statement but left the word “Obama.”
“This wasn’t kids,” Gruters said. “It wasn’t an easy job.”

NEW ORLEANS -- There are several political signs attracting all kinds of attention in one Uptown neighborhood.
On Wednesday, crowds gathered at the corner of Calhoun and Coralie streets, looking at several signs depicting President Barack Obama as either a dunce, a puppet or a crying baby in a diaper...
The signs have created such a firestorm of controversy, though, that police came to the scene-- called in by City Council Member Susan Guidry. She represents the district where the home is located. Guidry said she was concerned about public safety and was trying to figure out if the sign was even legal. She also said she spoke to Reily, but didn't get far.
"If you voted for our current president in 2008 to prove you weren't a racist, please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot. Thank you . . . Concerned Citizens of America."The name of the person or group who paid for the billboard isn't known. WHNT has more on the story:
The corner of Capshaw and East Limestone Road hardly qualifies as a bustling intersection, but a nearby billboard has been getting the area attention.
The billboard reads, "If you voted for our current president in 2008 to prove you weren't a racist, please vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you're not an idiot. Thank you . . . Concerned Citizens of America."...

Downey said the owners of the billboard company, Bud’s Signs, removed it after receiving threats from people who didn’t care for it.
Its artist, Paul Snover, said Thursday the controversial billboard that depicted Obama in several caricatures would remain for at least a month. He didn’t return e-mails or telephone calls to say why it’s been taken down, or if it would appear elsewhere.
The 20 x 10 billboard off of I-70 references just about every anti-Obama meme. It depicts the President as a gay man, a Muslim, a gangster and Nazi, a communist, and a Mexican bandit, among other caricatures. The various Obama caricatures are seen gambling with sacred American icons like an American soldier and Uncle Sam as vultures and rats labled 'IRS' and 'Trial Lawyers' watch.
The owner of the billboard has decided to conceal his identity, but Paul Snover, the artist who helped create the billboard, told KJCT In Grand Junction "we wanted to get people to think a little deeper" as the election approaches.
Similar trucks also are operating in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, passing the offices of the broadcast networks, the Washington Post, CNN, the Newseum, the National Press Club and Politico, and ads about the campaign are running on numerous Web sites and on conservative talk radio programs.
L. Brent Bozell III, president of the Media Research Center (MRC), the parent organization of CNSNews.com, said the goal of this 2010 “Tell the Truth!” campaign “is simple: to force the liberals in the media to stop pushing an agenda and just tell the truth.”

GLADEWATER- Fire investigators are looking for the person who they say tried to set an Anti-Obama billboard on fire. KETK reports it happened Sunday morning on Highway 80 in Gladewater. Investigators say someone poured gasoline around the base of the 30-foot-pipe and lit it on fire. The flames, however, never touched the billboard itself.

"We can honestly say that, we (the 'Angry Americans') are tired of the socialist abuse of our kindness. Hence, it is our mission to identify those socialist leaders, allow them to face the scrutiny and humility of America and educate our citizenship on their destructive (sic) purpose and goals."

“Obama is a fraud. Demand resignation now. God bless America.”I can't imagine what their problem is with the billboard's message.
Barton Community College will take down a billboard near its Fort Riley campus because of its proximity to a politically charged billboard that calls President Obama a fraud...
The college’s billboard on Interstate 70, near Exit 300, is not associated with the political message that appears above it, college officials said. The political message states: “Obama is a fraud. Demand resignation now. God bless America.”

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin has been removed.
Kent Beatty, the general manager of the company that owns the billboard, says a North Iowa Tea Party representative called Tuesday night and asked that the sign in downtown Mason City be removed.
Beatty says his company replaced the sign Wednesday morning with a public service announcement.
The original sign showed photographs of Obama, Nazi leader Hitler and communist leader Lenin beneath the labels "Democrat Socialism," "National Socialism," and "Marxist Socialism."
Some tea party members criticized the sign, and North Iowa Tea Party co-founder Bob Johnson acknowledged the pictures overwhelmed the intended message of anti-socialism.

NAVARRE, Fla. – Barack Obama had a close encounter of the eligibility kind today as his motorcade drove past an electronic billboard on Highway 98 here asking the question, "Where's the birth certificate?"
The trip was part of Obama's tour of areas hit by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, and the billboard was courtesy of WND's 13-month continuing campaign to raise the issue of the president's constitutional eligibility for office.
