Undercover agents were able to sneak fake explosives and banned weapons through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, in an investigation that revealed a massive, system-wide security failure at America’s airports.
The findings were part of a DHS inspector general probe. The report is still classified, but Fox News has confirmed the investigation found security failures at dozens of airports.
Homeland Security officials confirmed to Fox News that TSA screeners failed 67 out of 70 tests — or 96 percent — carried out by special investigators known as “red teams.”

Super Committee is Super Failure

(Roll Call) — The super committee has officially failed.

In a joint news release, Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction Co-Chairmen Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) said they concluded today that they will not be able to make “any bipartisan agreement” public before the deadline.

The brief statement was mostly positive and forward-looking, saying the co-chairmen were “disappointed” at the failure but “hopeful” that Congress would act in its place.

“Despite our inability to bridge the committee’s significant differences, we end this process united in our belief that the nation’s fiscal crisis must be addressed and that we cannot leave it for the next generation to solve,” the statement said.

The two also said they hoped Congress could “build on this committee’s work.”

"Failure is not an option" Test Case Terror Trial is an Abject Failure

Attorney General Eric Holder assured us "Failure is not an option" when it came to trials of al Qaeda terrorists on U.S. Soil. In the first test case, a man responsible for helping murder 224 people in bombings of U.S. African embassies in 1998, has been acquitted of 275 of the 276 charges. He was convicted of one relatively minor charge of conspiracy to destroy US property. In an attempt to put some lipstick on this pig, the DOJ claims they are pleased.

Justice Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, "We respect the jury's verdict and are pleased that Ahmed Ghailani now faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a potential life sentence for his role in the embassy bombings."

“I am disgusted at the total miscarriage of justice today in Manhattan’s federal civilian court. In a case where Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani was facing 285 criminal counts, including hundreds of murder charges, and where Attorney General Eric Holder assured us that ‘failure is not an option,’ the jury found him guilty on only one count and acquitted him of all other counts including every murder charge.

“This tragic verdict demonstrates the absolute insanity of the Obama Administration’s decision to try al-Qaeda terrorists in civilian courts.

Government Health Care Control and Mandates Fail In Massachusetts

Romneycare in Massachusetts has many of the same provisions as the Democrats versions of Obamacare. Massachusetts health care reform was implemented in 2006. It included mandates, subsidies, and micro-manage health insurance policies. This sounds a lot like what the final Obamacare bill will likely look like. How do voters view the success of this state takeover of their health care? According to Rasmussen, only thirty-two (32%) of the state’s voters consider that reform a success. Thirty-six percent (36%) consider Massachusetts health care reform a failure.

Twenty percent (20%) now say that the state’s reform effort has made health care more affordable while 31% say just the opposite. Thirty-nine percent (39%) believe it’s had no impact on prices and 11% are not sure.

Sixteen percent (16%) say the Massachusetts reform has improved the quality of care in the state while 24% believe the quality of health care in the state has gotten worse. Most, 51%, say there has been no impact on the quality of care.

Claims of savings from health care reform in Massachusetts have been thoroughly debunked and the Massachusetts Medical Society reported that the average wait time for a new patient looking for a primary care doctor ranged from 36 to 50 days, even though Massachusetts has the highest concentration of doctors nationwide. Why do the Democrats want to spend $1 trillion to implement this system nationwide?

The British Press said Obama was "humiliated" by his failed bid to use his "rock star" persona to win the 2016 hosting of the Olympic games for his home town of Chicago.

The CBO has projected that Social Security will pay out more in benefits than it collects in taxes next year and in 2011.

The Congressional Budget Office is projecting that Social Security will pay out more in benefits than it collects in taxes next year and in 2011, a first since the early 1980s, when Congress last overhauled Social Security.

During President Bush's 2006 State of the Union address he said, "Congress did not act last year on my proposal to save Social Security." Democrats including Barack Obama applauded this remark.

President Obama's Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner asked Congress to increase the $12.1 trillion debt limit on Friday, Geithner said it is "critically important" that they act in the next two months. The Hill points out Senator Obama had a poor view of President Bush when he made the same request in 2006. Sen. Obama accused Bush of a "failure of leadership." Well, right back at you Mr. president.

ObamaCare is dying and the finger pointing begins

The resistance of Republicans, Blue Dog Democrats and the majority of voting Americans is slowly killing Progressive Democrat's goal of starting America down the path to single-payer health care. It is becoming increasing unclear if any health care reform legislation will be signed into law this year. The public option looks very unlikely in the current political environment. Many Progressives are pointing the finger of blame at President Barack Obama.

Obama Points to Failure of Post Office to Support ObamaCare

President Obama said, "I mean, if you think about -- if you think about it, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? No, they are. It's the Post Office that's always having problems." Telling America that the governments program to deliver the mail is a failure isn't a good way to convince Americans to let the government take over our health care system.

Thirty-seven percent (37%) said they believe the Obama administration is a "failure," while 51% consider it a "success" and 11% say it's still "too soon to tell."

An identical question was asked of the Bush administration in an August 2001 CNN/Gallup/USA Today survey. , 56% said the Bush administration was a "success" while only 32% considered it a "failure."

Three years ago Democrats wildly cheered blockage of Social Security reform during a speech by President Bush. Now, Social Security is almost broke. The Washington Times reported:

The deep economic recession has brought the days of reckoning for Social Security and Medicare much closer, with Medicare's program for hospital stays already running in the red and Social Security expected to start taking in less cash than it pays out beginning in 2016.

A new report detailing the programs' deteriorating finances makes it clear that Congress will have to decide sooner than it had expected to either curtail the programs or find new sources of revenue to bolster them. Taxpayers and recipients probably will have to pay more as a result, analysts said.

Both programs will run out of cash faster than expected, the programs' trustees said Tuesday. The report revealed for the first time that because of rapidly declining revenues, the Medicare trust fund for hospital expenses has been collecting less in taxes and interest income than it pays out in benefits since last year.
