Another Democrat Refuses to Support Pelosi

Rep. Steve Driehaus won't commit to supporting Nancy Pelosi as speaker if he wins re=election and Democrats retain control of the House. Both of those are big ifs at the moment. Driehaus’s opponent, former Rep. Steve Chabot (R), would like to remind voters Driehaus has voted with Nancy pelosi 94 percent of the time.

The Hill reported:
Ohio Rep. Steve Driehaus (D) became the latest House Democrat to refuse to commit to supporting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for another term.

In a chat with readers on, the endangered freshman said, “I expect Speaker Pelosi will have a challenge within the caucus. And I will hold my vote until I know who’s running for Speaker.”
