Flashback: Obama Reportedly Told Democrats, "Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me."

Rep. Marion Berry tried to warn Democrats of the bloodbath coming this November. They ignored him and listened to President Barack Obama instead. According to Berry,
“I’ve been doing that with this White House, and they just don’t seem to give it any credibility at all,” Berry said. “They just kept telling us how good it was going to be. The president himself, when that was brought up in one group, said, ‘Well, the big difference here and in ’94 was you’ve got me.’ We’re going to see how much difference that makes now.” [snip]

The phrase "We’re going to see how much difference that makes now” sounds prophetic, doesn't it? Not only is President Obama not helping Democrats, most of them don't want him to visit their district for fear it will actually hurt their chances. Democrats are running away from President Obama and their own legislative record. In one sense, President obama is correct. The difference between now and '94 is him and his left-wing agenda. It's just going to make the opposite of the difference he was promising.
