Obama in Secret Talks With The Taliban

Taliban: Militant Islam, Oil and Fundamentalism in Central Asia, Second Edition

I wouldn't be surprised if President Obama is negotiating our surrender terms. He threw Hosni Mubarak under the bus. How can anyone who remembers the brutality of the Taliban rule in Afghanistan possibly engage in serious negotiations with them?
The Obama administration has entered into direct, secret talks with senior Afghan Taliban officials, according to a published report.

The talks were characterized in the New Yorker magazine piece as an attempt by the administration "to assess which figures in the Taliban's leadership, if any, might be willing to engage in formal Afghan peace negotiations, and under what conditions."

Earlier yesterday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that only a political solution will end the war in Afghanistan.

What every happened to demanding unconditional surrender?
I can imagine that during the Battle of the Bulge, Obama and Hillary would have sent Patton home and begun peace talks with Hitler. I cannot even imagine what they would have done after Pearl Harbor--surrender Hawaii and the West Coast?

US tries to invading the world. History shows that nobody ruled the whole world and it is not possible for any person / nation.

This is the end of every war. They always came to this conclusion that the wars are ending on the tables.

US citizens should think that why US government is spending their money into the WARS.

JS,

I couldn't agree more.

You go in and kill people and break things until the other side surrenders without conditions.

It's just preposterous that people think that conflicts can be fought using "political correctness" as the standard.

That causes more casualties to BOTH sides.
