NOW Position on Meg Whitman Being Called a Whore: Fire someone...It's a teachable moment...She really is a whore

The National Organization for Women (NOW) endorsed Jerry Brown for Governor of California one day after Jerry Brown approved of a campaign aid's depiction of Meg Whitman as a "whore" in remarks that were thought to be off the record. After receiving criticism for their hypocrisy, NOW on Wednesday called on Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jerry Brown to fire the aide responsible for the remark. Now's position was quickly walked back after there were claims the aide who used the "W" word was actually Jerry Brown's wife. Suddenly, the whole episode changes from a "firing offense" to a "teachable moment."
The National Organization for Women on Wednesday called on Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jerry Brown to fire the supposed aide who suggested the campaign call Republican Meg Whitman a "whore."

Hours later, however, they backed away from that position, calling the incident "a teachable moment."

After the rapidly changing NOW position on Wednesday, California NOW President Parry Bellasalma agreed in an interview with using the "W" word to characterize Whitman as a "Political whore."
...California NOW President Parry Bellasalma, who today told TPM in response to a question that "Meg Whitman could be described as 'a political whore.' Yes, that's an accurate statement."

Could NOW do anything else to look more hypocritical and partisan?

The majority of Californians are sick of the GOP and the failure of steroid Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger, what a joke. Are you surprise that the majority are turning away from the Nutmeg. She will fail in her attempt to buy the election. The only positive the is that some sleazy GOP consultants made some money.

I agree Whitman is an imperfect candidate. However, Brown sold California out to public employee unions in his first term. Whitman is more business friendly and the better choice.
