The Obama Presidency Has Been Devastating For Black Americans

The numbers are horrifying.

Sun-Times reported: (emphasis is mine)

Since the end of the recession, which lasted from 2007 to 2009, the overall unemployment rate has fallen from 9.4 to 9.1 percent, while the black unemployment rate has risen from 14.7 to 16.2 percent, according to the Department of Labor. Last April, black male unemployment hit the highest rate since the government began keeping track in 1972. Only 56.9 percent of black men over 20 were working, compared with 68.1 percent of white men.
Even college-educated blacks fared worse than their white counterparts in the recession. In 2007, unemployment for college-educated whites was 1.8 percent; for college-educated blacks it was 2.7 percent. Now, the college-educated unemployment rate is 3.9 percent for whites and 7 percent for blacks.
Nearly 8 percent of African Americans who bought homes from 2005 to 2008 have lost them to foreclosure, compared with 4.5 percent of whites, according to an estimate by the Center for Responsible Lending.

Since 95% of black voters voted for President Obama in 2008, I am tempted to say black Americans are getting their just reward, but I hate to see any family have to struggle under these devastating economic conditions. Jesse Washington of the Sun-Times found it ironic the first black president was overseeing the destruction of the black middle class.
Some see a bitter irony in soaring black unemployment and the decline of the black middle class on the watch of the first black president.
I see it in a different light. It is true Obama's color motivated the black base of the Democratic Party and even a few black Republican leaning voters (shame on you) pulled Obama's lever for historic reasons. The truth is a white Democratic candidate would have gotten 90 plus percent of the black vote in 2008, even if Obama hadn't been on the ticket. Black voters have become an almost wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party. Based on history, this is hard to understand. Republicans ended slavery and southern Democrats were the primary opponents of civil rights for blacks in the 1960s. Black voters are ignoring history. I would postulate this is because they benefit more from social programs than the general population and Democrats are certainly the party of more social programs. Unfortunately for Democrats and their supporters, the money has run out. President Obama's attempt to spend our way out of the recession has practically bankrupted us. Government spending can't end this recession. Only businesses and consumers can accomplish that goal. Consumers can't boost spending because energy prices and unemployment are too high. Business won't because President Obama is the most anti-business President in the history of our country. If President Obama really wanted to help black Americans, he would resign. It is time for Obama to "Take one for the team".

I understand why black Americans voted for Obama, I don't understand why the continue to support him.

This article tries to hard to link Obama's presidency as the cause of hardships for black people. Unregulated sub par house loans were the cause. Please see fallacious arguments.
Confusing Correlation And Causation:
earthquakes in the Andes were correlated with the closest approaches of the planet Uranus. Therefore, Uranus must have caused them. (But Jupiter is nearer than Uranus, and more massive too.)
When sales of hot chocolate go up, street crime drops. Does this correlation mean that hot chocolate prevents crime ? No, it means that fewer people are on the streets when the weather is cold.

The bigger a child's shoe size, the better the child's handwriting. Does having big feet make it easier to write ? No, it means the child is older.
