I'll start this thread by pimping my other blog. Science News Blog has many interesting science articles and videos. I update it a couple of times daily. Drop by if you like.

The last time I was told about the new use of this term was when I asked a fourth grader sitting across from me in my child's lunchroom at public school, "we watch a lot of Little House on The Prairie...what do you watch?" and she responded, "oh....Pimp My Ride...stuff like that." Geez! Freaked me out.

So, I'm gonna go with "primping" my blog - I've just adorned it with a tombstone and hope folks who consider themselves to be GOOD Americans will stop by and see it. http://www.tristansepinion.blogspot.com

Thanks!

Thank you Intellectual Redneck! I have some important information to share with everyone. I AM HOPING I CAN GET EVERYONE TO MAKE ONE PHONE CALL THIS WEEKEND. E-VERIFY is in danger of being discontinued. The vote is on Tuesday! E-Vefiy is a free, web based system that verifies employment eligibility of new employees. With so many Americans out of work we need this program. Legal Immigration Rocks!! Illegal Immigration is, well ILLEGAL! I am urging EVERYONE to Go to: www.numbersusa.com to get more information, they make it very easy to help. One phone call is all we need, but more is great if you have time. Can you make one phone call this weekend??

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do. ~Edward Everett Hale

Thanks IR,

I didn't know you had a science blog! I have a gadget blog (and a bunch of others ranging from fashion to cooking).

The Allegator is a blog devoted to free thought and the rights of the individual, with leanings towards libertarian and atheist ideology (yes, even atheists have ideology). Come visit, dissenting views welcome.

I love your blog, Intellectual Redneck. And in the spirit of shameless pimping, would like to promote my website Frugal-Cafe', where it's chic to be cheap, and its companion blog, Frugal Cafe' Blog Zone.

Frugal-Cafe' is brimming over with creative, practical ideas on how to save money, spend more wisely, DIY tips, cheap shopping ideas, easy recipes and how to stretch a family's food dollars and clothing budget, budget crafts, how to save money sending care packages to our deployed heroic troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, recycling and repurposing, thrifty homeschooling ideas, and many other frugally minded suggestions and articles to survive this recession. One of our favorite sections is in the Kitchen, Pantry, and Food Tips section: frugal secrets of great chefs. Time- and money-saving kitchen secrets of Gordon Ramsay, Michel Roux, Julia Child, Jeff Smith, Rachael Ray, Jamie Oliver, America's Test Kitchen, Emeril Lagasse, Paula Deen, and others have been gleaned from old publications, the Internet, and a ton of cookbooks.

The Frugal Cafe' blog echoes those same philosophies of thrift, while also being a diligent watchdog for the financial decisions and actions of the president and Congress--usually not flattering. The Frugal Cafe' Blog Zone posts frequently both on frugal money-saving ideas and current social commentary of the Obama administration's ongoing plans to affect/tax/redistribute Americans' hard-earned money.

Frugal Cafe' extols conservative and family values. The philosophies and values of Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Ronald Reagan, and other great American leaders are our foundation. Both the main website and companion blog are in their infant stages, but we're growing in relevant content and readership every day.

Thank you for this opportunity to promote our site, Intellectual Redneck.

As always, be wise... be frugal.
