Obama is -11 in latest Rasmussen Presidential Approval Index

President Obama's polling numbers are hitting new lows almost daily. President Obama is -11 in latest Rasmussen Presidential Approval Index.

From Rasmussen:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m.

Public Opinion polls have taken the place of real journalism and listening to public opinion polls has taken the place of real leadership.

The next poll that is of any value will be in November 2010, with the more important one in November 2012.

I would agree that the most important polls are the ones taken at the ballot box. However, the rapid meltdown in Obama's poll numbers is newsworthy.
