The RNC's new ad, “Dictionary,” points out the eight new taxes proposed in the Democrats health care reform plans. The “Dictionary” reference comes from this Obama interview by George Stephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos read Obama the dictionary definition of a tax to support the argument a fine imposed by the IRS for not carrying health insurance really is a tax. Obama sputtered, "George, the fact that you looked up Merriam's Dictionary, the… definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you're stretching a little bit right now."

Thanks BGP for putting this up. It points out the concerns that I had with the Baucus bill after reading the summary and CBO preliminary analysis.
