House Minority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Clueless): The Unemployed Can Help Create Jobs If We Pass Unemployment Extension

Democrats equal spending money with creating jobs. Unfortunately, it doesn't necessarily work out that way. In order to spend money, you have to get it from somewhere. What you are actually doing is just shifting money around to those the government feel are deserving. The private economy is much better at getting that money in the hands of jobs creators. This is why the Stimulus failed so miserable.

(CNS News) - House Minority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) told reporters Tuesday that passing unemployment insurance will allow the jobless “to continue participating in growing the economy and creating jobs.”
Passing legislation that would extend unemployment insurance (UI) “is not just for people who are unemployed. It’s for getting people who are unemployed the opportunity to continue to participate in growing the economy and creating jobs,” said Hoyer during his weekly pen and pad briefing with reporters.
