Sen. Bob Casey became the latest Democratic Senator to announce his support of same-sex marriage and the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, Monday, in a press release.
“After much deliberation and after reviewing the legal, public policy, and civil rights questions presented, I support marriage equality for same-sex couples and believe that DOMA should be repealed,” the Pennsylvania Democrat said in the release.
Casey said that his change of heart partially came from reading letters written by LGBT constituents and their families.
