26% of Americans don't know who we declared independence from on July 4, 1776. These history challenged Americans tend to be more low income, young and minority. In other words, they resemble Obama voters.

As grills across America fire up this weekend some Americans may want to crack open a history book instead of a cold beer.

For the record, it was Great Britain we broke away from.
